LAX (Santana and Ortiz) are the latest stars to depart from Impact Wrestling.

The group has finished up with Impact Wrestling, according to Dave Meltzer who reported the news in F4WOnline’s Daily Update. It was noted that both WWE and AEW have interest in signing Santana and Ortiz.

Regarding WWE, the company is willing to sign any talented wrestlers as they want to pick up as many wrestlers as possible. On the flip side, AEW has made it known that they plan to have a big focus on its tag team division.

LAX finished up their run with Impact Wrestling on Sunday night at the Slammiversary pay-per-view event from Gilley’s Dallas in Texas. This is where Impact World Tag Team Champions The North (Ethan Page and Josh Alexander) were able to retain the titles against The Rascalz and LAX.

Near the end of the match, they did an injury angle where Santana sold that he was hurt, which was planned out in advance of the match.

Santana and Ortiz joined LAX in March 2017 where they were a big part of the tag team division and heavily used on weekly television. During their time with Impact, they were four-time Impact World Tag Team Champions.

It was also revealed on Monday that Johnny “Impact” Hennigan is no longer under contract with Impact Wrestling.
