The wrestling business has changed a lot in the past few decades and the latest interview of Hardcore Legend RVD is a great example of it.

Impact Wrestling recently published a Retrospective documentary on RVD where the Wrestling Veteran discussed his early career in very detail.

During the interview, RVD talked about his training days under the Iron Sheik and recalled how Sheik trained them to beat the hell out of each other.

Per RVD, there was never ever one time in his schooling where the Sheik told them how to hit somebody without injuring them or told them that this is the right way to fall without getting hurt.

According to the former ECW Champion, at his wrestling school it was all about grabbing each other, squeezing each other and pinning each other.

They knew that they had to work with each other to a certain degree in order to pull off what they wanted to accomplish. They were sensible but the Iron Sheik never told them that they were hitting each other too hard.

Later in the interview, RVD discussed how he tried to learn to be more careful but in Japan, the crowd didn’t react if they didn’t kick the hell out of their opponent.

Apart from this, RVD also talked about his stint in the original ECW and revealed the moment which elevated his whole career.
