Former WWE Superstars Kenn Doane and Mike Mondo, formerly known as the Spirit Squad in WWE, are coming to Major League Wrestling.

MLW has announced Kenn and Mike will participate in an open-to-the-public-workout Thursday at the Melrose Ballroom in New York City. The talented team will showcase their “athleticism, grappling, stamina, speed, endurance and strength” for the lucky fans in attendance.

The spectacle will take place prior to MLW Never Say Never, which will be a national television taping for MLW FUSION.

“I was surprised they insisted on this public workout as opposed to quickly getting in the mix in a very competitive tag team division,” said MLW CEO Court Bauer. “Mondo and Doane are a little different.”

A press release implies the Squad might be there to do more than show off their athletic prowess. “Is the Spirit Squad all hype? Do they have the muscle to back the hustle?”

Once again, MLW has built a loaded card that will make for some very interesting programming in the weeks ahead. The show will feature a bit of everything, including Tom Lawlor’s MLW World Title rematch against Jacob Fatu, multiple title matches, lucha libre action and Puerto Rican legend Savio Vega in action.
