Joe Hendry has announced he has singed with Ring of Honor. The 31-year-old from Scotland recently lost a match where his ICW career was on the line. He dropped the bout to Leyton Buzzard at Shug’s Hoose Party 6. Hendry also wrestled for Impact Wrestling for much of last year but eventually announced had left the promotion this February.

Hendry announced his signing on his Instagram page in typical Joe Hendry style:

Hendry has previously competed for Ring of Honor during the promotion’s UK tours in 2016 and 2018. He dropped an ROH TV title match to Silas Young last summer.

Hendry was also a successful wrestler for Defiant/WCPW before it’s recent demise. He is a former Defiant/WCPW champion, a Defiant internet champion, and won the Kurt Angle Invitational Rumble in 2016.

Last summer, Hendry spoke highly of his time with Impact Wrestling and saw his role as helping the promotion expand in the UK.

“The U.K has historically been a such a stronghold for Impact Wrestling,” Hendry said. “It just makes sense to kind of reignite that and re-tap into that. If can help facilitate that then that’s a huge honor.”
