Myles and Grimes collide in Breakout Tournament Finals

Following an incredible TakeOver: Toronto, the NXT Universe looks to the future as black-and-gold brand newcomers Jordan Myles and Cameron Grimes battle in the finals of the inaugural Breakout Tournament. Which Superstar will prevail and earn an NXT championship opportunity of his choosing? Plus, Breezango reunite to face the rough-and-tumble Forgotten Sons.






We start off with highlights from Saturday's Takeover.

We are in Toronto, Ontario, Canada and your announcers are Mauro Ranallo, Beth Phoenix, and Nigel McGuinness.

Fandango and Tyler Breeze vs Steve Cutler and Wesley Blake (with Jaxson Ryker)

Fandango and Cutler start things off and Cutler with a forearm. Cutler goes for a sunset flip but Fandango stays on his feet and then he shimmies and gets a near fall with a leg drop. Breeze tags in and hits a forearm off the apron. Blake is given a back body drop. Breeze punches Cutler. Blake tags in and Breeze punches him. Ryker hits Breeze from behind while he deals with Fandango. Cutler tags in and they hit a double back breaker for a near fall. Cutler with a suplex and he gets a near fall. Cutler wtih a rear chin lock and a knee in the back. Blake tags in and they go for another double team move but Breeze escapes. Blake with a kick and Breeze gets out of a power bomb. Ryker pulls Fandango off the apron to prevent the tag and Ryker is sent to the back by the referee. Cutler is back dropped to the floor by Breeze and Fandango tags in. Fandango with chops to Blake. Cutler with a kick but Fandango with a power slam.

Fandango with a power slam to Cutler. Fandango with a tornado DDT to Blake. Fandango goes up top but Blake moves and then Fandango returns to the mat and Blake with a clothesline. Blake with a Frankensteiner followed by a diving head butt from Cutler but Breeze breaks up the cover. Blake tags in and Fandango with a back body drop and he sends Blake and Cutler to the floor. Fandango with a plancha onto both men. Breeze catapults Blake into a forearm and Fandango with a slingshot elbow drop for the three count.

Winners: Tyler Breeze and Fandango

We take a look at the North American Championship Match between Velveteen Dream, Roderick Strong, and Pete Dunne.

Pete Dunne was interviewed after the match and he was asked if he thought he had won the match. Pete says he should be standing here with his new title reign. If it wasn't for Velveteen Dream, he would have the North American Title. Dream did what he had to do to retain the championship. Dunne says he will do what it takes to get that title from Dream.

Jordan Myles is in the back preparing for his match against Cameron Grimes.

We take a look at the Breakout Tournament.

We are back with a look at the Tag Title Match between The Street Profits and the Undisputed Era.

We go to Bobby Fish and Kyle O'Reilly after the match. Bobby wants to know where is William Regal. Bobby says they were the ones who were going to start this and fulfill the prophecy. Kyle wants to know where in the rule book does it say the wrong man can be pinned. Kyle and Bobby storm away.

They show footage of an apparent tag made by Bobby Fish.

We take a look at Io Shirai and her descent into darkness.

Io says there is no one worthy of standing next to her.

We are back with a look at the NXT Women's Championship Match between Shayna Baszler and Mia Yim.

Shayna was asked for comments after her match but she walks away. Shayna is asked if anyone else has pushed her the way Mia did and Shayna says 'And Still' before walking away.

We take a look at the NXT Men's Championship Match between Johnny Gargano and Adam Cole.

We see Cameron Grimes in the back as he gets ready for the Finals of the Breakout Tournament.

We are back with a look at Matt Riddle calling out Killian Dain and their brawl around the arena.

Breakout Tournament Finals: Cameron Grimes vs Jordan Myles

They lock up and they go around the ring until Grimes applies a waist lock. Myles with a wrist lock. Grimes with a waist lock and he pulls at the face and applies a reverse chin lock. Myles with a forearm but Grimes with a shoulder tackle. Myles with a drop kick to the knee and Myles gets a near fall. Myles kicks Grimes in the leg and hits a dragon screw leg whip for a near fall. Myles kicks Grimes in the leg. Myles kicks Grimes in the back of the leg and Grimes goes to the floor. Grimes with a running forearm to Myles when Myles goes to the floor.

Grimes sends Myles back into the ring and he kicks Myles in the corner. Grimes with a chop and Myles goes for the leg but Grimes rakes at the face and he sends Myles face first into the turnbuckles. Grimes gets a near fall. Grimes with punches and he gets a near fall. Grimes with a fish hook and he follows with an arm bar. Myles with punches but Grimes with a clothesline for a near fall. Grimes with an arm bar. Myles with an arm drag and a dragon screw leg whip. Myles with punches as he avoids attempts by Grimes. Myles with a shoulder tackle and he cartwheels around Grimes and hits a drop kick to the temple. Myles goes to the apron and hits a running kick.

Grimes is sent back into the ring and Myles goes up top and hits a cross body for a near fall. Myles goes up top but Grimes gets up and Myles avoids Grimes. Grimes with a back slide but Myles rolls through. Grimes with Orange Crush for a near fall. Myles with a waist lock and Grimes holds on to the ropes. Myles with a back breaker and German suplex for a near fall. Myles goes for a suplex but Grimes gets away and goes to the apron. The referee holds Myles back. Grimes kicks Myles in the face. Myles with kicks. Grimes with a flying Spanish Fly slam for a near fall. Grimes with forearms. Grimes misses the double stomp when Myles rolls through. Grimes with a round kick to the temple. Myles slides into the turnbuckles to avoid being sent into them again. MYles wit a kick and brainbuster.

Myles goes up top and hits a 450 splash for the three count.

Winner: Jordan Myles

After the match, William Regal comes out and he hands Jordan Myles his contract.
