The daughter of “Rowdy” Roddy Piper was recently announced as an entrant in AEW’s upcoming 21-Woman Casino Battle Royale. The match will take place on the preshow before All Out on August 31st inside Chicago’s Sears Center.

According to a report from TMZ, Teal Piper’s deal with AEW is just for one show. Piper has signed on with Jeanie Buss’ Women of Wrestling (WOW) promotion and has been training to take part in season 2. Video of Piper’s in-ring training can be viewed in the player below:


“It is very heartbreaking and hard. It’s a very nostalgic but also intense feeling being in this world without him,” Piper says in the video.

The WOW promotion is owned by Lakers owner Jeanie Buss and the previous founder of GLOW David McLane. Tessa Blanchard is the current WOW champion having won the title after it was vacated by Santana Garrett.

Other notable performers on the WOW roster includes Kiera Hogan who wrestles as Fire. Katie Forbes, Jessika Havok, Katarina, Gisele Shaw and others have also appeared on the program.
