Santana and Ortiz are the most successful tag-team in Impact Wrestling history. The 662 combined days LAX has spent as Impact tag-team championships is a record for the promotion. They passed Beer Money’s 512 days spent as champions earlier in the year.

The free agents recently confirmed they have wrestled their last match for Impact Wrestling, however. Santana Tweeted out the following after LAX finished up at the recent Impact tapings held in Mexico City.

Santana and Ortiz dropped the Impact tag team titles to Josh Alexander and Ethan Page, the North, at Bash at the Brewery. The event was broadcast exclusively on Impact’s streaming service, Impact Plus.

“Last night we wrestled our final match with Impact Wrestling.

Our appreciation and gratitude for every single person there who had a hand in helping us get to this point, is absolutely endless.

THANK YOU for the opportunity to show the world our passion and commitment to this business. And most of all, for the opportunity to represent our people and culture on a big stage.
We are forever grateful.”

It has been speculated in recent months that LAX could be headed to either WWE or AEW.
