Impact Wrestling could be getting some good news regarding a new TV deal soon, based on a new report.

A few months ago, Voices of Wrestling reported that Impact was negotiating a television deal with AXS TV in hopes of a new home for their weekly television show in the United States.

Voices of Wrestling shared an update by noting that negotiations between Anthem, which is the parent company of Impact, and AXS TV are approaching the finish line.

As of this writing, the deal has not been finalized and thus no official announcement has been made by either side.

Being told the Anthem/AXS negotiations, which we originally broke in June, are approaching the finish line.

AXS is the home of the weekly NJPW television show and the WOW – Women of Wrestling television series. By adding Impact, it would give a big boost to the exposure that Impact has for its weekly television show.

Back in January, it was announced that Impact had signed a new television deal with Pursuit Channel to air their show. It should be noted that Anthem owns the network.

Since then, Impact has simulcast its program on both Pursuit as well as Twitch. It’s been reported that Impact doesn’t pull in great viewership numbers on Pursuit but does have a decent following on Twitch.

At one point, there were reports that Anthem put in an offer to buy AXS. Time will tell whether a deal gets made.
