Former ECW Champion Tommy Dreamer has shared his belief that Bray Wyatt’s ‘The Fiend’ can transcend sports entertainment into mainstream pop culture.

Dreamer praised Wyatt on a recent episode of SiriusXM’s Busted Open Radio, saying:

“I think Bray Wyatt is so on his game that, Husky Harris can debut on NXT and he would get that over as well,” Dreamer said. “I hate to say this because it’s been said a lot, but he’s a once in a generation type of character that can transcend over. […] he’s been a top guy since he’s become Bray Wyatt, whether it’s just promos, and again, he’s a third-generation wrestler, it’s built and ingrained in him.”

He stressed how Wyatt has now been made to look strong against WWE Legends. Dreamer explained how attacking Mick Foley and Kane has helped set the stage for Wyatt to become “the guy.”

“They’re setting the stage for him to be the guy, and they should be,” Dreamer said. “Cause as Bray Wyatt of the Wyatt Family, he should have been the guy, all the fans were talking about it, and now with this, another crinkle in his character—character development is very, very key to keep people fresh—and this character has legs for a long, long time.”

Bray Wyatt is scheduled to face WWE Universal Champion Seth Rollins at WWE’s Hell in a Cell pay-per-view. The event takes place on October 6th from the Golden 1 Center in Sacramento, California.
