The NWA has announced that former NWA World Heavyweight Champion Tim Storm will challenge current NWA World Heavyweight Champion Nick Aldis for the belt on September 30th. The match will take place as part of the NWA’s first set of television tapings at the GPB Studios in Atlanta, Georgia.

Additionally, the stipulation was added that if Aldis beats Storm, Storm can no longer challenge for the NWA title. The NWA announced the match during the most recent episode of “10lbs of Gold” on YouTube:

It’s not clear exactly where the NWA’s TV show will air after being taped. It is believed the show will be posted to YouTube if a television partner cannot be found.

NWA owner Billy Corgan previously had the following to say regarding what fans can expect from The studio wrestling show they will be producing:

“The professional wrestling that I grew up on was really more about the personalities being locked in a pressure cooker of a television studio which made you want to go see the big shows,” Corgan said.

“The intent is to put the onus solely on the talent to captivate the audience with their personality and I have total faith that we will,” Nick Aldis said to SI.com recently. “The audience will be a part of the show in a totally different way, with direct interaction that creates unique moments that, again, are hard to capture in an arena.”
