Jushin ‘Thunder’ Liger is currently on his retirement run heading into next year’s two-day Wrestle Kingdom 14 event. Since announcing his intentions to leave the ring, Liger has been touring the world facing off against a plethora of talent.

Now, the legendary Liger’s last US date has been announced. New Japan Pro-Wrestling officially revealed that Liger’s last ever US matchup will take place on November 9th.

He will be wrestling on their New Japan Showdown event, which takes place in the San Jose Civic. At the time of writing, there is no indication as to whom Liger may be competing against.

It was announced that Liger would be wrestling his final matches across Wrestle Kingdom 14. On day one, he will team up with Tiger Mask, Tatsumi Fujinami and The Great Sasuke. They will face the team of Ryusuke Taguchi, Tatushito Takaiwa, Shinjiro Otani and Naomi Sano. Liger will also have a second retirement match on night two of Wrestle Kingdom 14 on January 5th.

His retirement tour will come to an end on January 6th at NJPW’s New Year Dash event. The promotion will host a special retirement ceremony for Liger inside the Ota City General Gymnasium in Tokyo.

Liger recently wrestled in a losing effort against Suzuki-gun leader, Minoru Suzuki. They competed at NJPW’s recent King of Pro Wrestling event in a heated grudge match.
