Episode #144 - Taped in New York/USA


We start with a recap from last weeks actions. Then we see then stare off between Conor McGregor and Khabib Nurmagomedov. Will get a rematch here in EAM? The fans have almost not been speaking about something else the recent week. We are not far away from Supersplash either, so there are bound to be some big matches coming up! We cut to the Pride vignette.

We go to ringside for our first match of the eving, which is a big 8-man tag team extravaganza. There are many great tag teams in Pride right now, and the competition are strong. Rumors are that Heavy Machinery has the biggest chance getting a title match against Private Party at Supersplash, but as the commentators tell us, there are also been rumors about a big tag team scramble matchup for the titles. I guess we'll just have to wait and see. Until then, take it away Mandy!

8-Man Tag Team Matchup
The Rascalz (Zachary Wentz & Desmond Xavier) Vs The Guerrillas Of Destiny (Tama Tonga & Tanga Loa) Vs Sonny Defarge & Cornelius Crummels Vs Tripp Cassidy & Mick Moretti

Lots of action from all teams involved. Big bumps, high flying, signature and finishing moves but at the end Destiny get the win in pretty dominant fashion but other teams get spots and stuff in including dives to the outside of the ring.

We cut back to the ring for our next match where Will Ospreay's already in the ring. He's got a microphone and cut's a promo, talking about Edge, wondering how he can be such a big hero for all those marks out there, because he is a coward! He admit Edge got lucky and got the victory at Wrass Bash, but have anyone seen him afterwards? No? I thought so! As I said, a coward! Nakamura's music suddenly cranks the arena speakers and interrrupts Ospreay's ranting. But no Nakamura walks out on the stage. The music continues. What is this? There he comes. He makes it out on the stage, waving his hands, doing his usual antics. Wait! That's not Shinsuke! That's....that's Edge! He pretends to be Nakamura as he makes his way down the rampway and finally into the ring where he gets handed a microphone by one of the ring crew members. Edge gets a great pop from the audience as he puts down Ospreay and speals about being a coward and whatnot. He then says he can wrestle Ospreay again here and nopw tonight if that was it. Ospreay then says " sure, let's do it then! " this get a big reaction from the audience. We where going to have Nakamura Vs Ospreay, but now we get Edge Vs Ospreay instead! Speaking about, where is Nakamura?

Hmm very strange a rematch thought the feud was over. Edge with a spear and educution for a 2. Will comes back with a front superkick, Essex Destroyer for 2 but at the end of the match Will looks a finisher as Edge nails the SPEAR...WILL WITH THE DECAPITATOR REVERSING IN MID AIR....1...2...3...OMG HE DID IT. HUGE NEEDED WIN FOR WILL!. Sending a message to everybody in Pride. Finally getting that win.

As we are going to commercial break we cut to the backstage where we can see medics are helping Nakamura onto a stretcher. What happened? They carry him into a ambulance and drice off. We cut to commercial break.

As we get back from commercial break and are about to go to our main event, general manager Drake Younger walks out on the stage. He doesn't stop there, as he makes his way down the rampway and into the ring. He tells everyone he's got some big news that he wants to share with everyone. As you all know, we are approaching Supersplash with rapid speed, and as you all know, WALTER will be defending his Pride Championship in a Elimination Chamber match during the event, a match that we have not done many times here in EAM. However, you might wonder and want to know who his opponent for that match will be? The audience makes a ton of noise. Offcourse they wanna know. We all wanna know! Drake then says that the competition in Pride these days are pretty strong, with many great wrestlers, almost weekly proves that they deserves a shot at The Pride Championship. But, it's after all Supersplash we are talking about, one of the big six as it is called. And only the greatest performers will be granted a spot on the card. So, without further ado. The wrestlers that will be competing in The Elimination Chamber matchup at Supersplash, besides WALTER offcourse, are..... Drew McIntyre, Lars Sullivan, Dominik Dijakovic, Kazuchika Okada and....the last entrant will be decided in tonights main event!

Jeff Cobb Vs Braun Strowman

Kind of sad all six of them can’t be in the chamber match since they’ve all been feuding over the past couple of months and are all big and Okada is more random. Solid hard hitting match from both men desperately trying to get that last spot. Braun with big spots but at the end of the match Cobb with a massive F-5000 and Tour of the Islands for the 3 count!. Vince won’t be happy but Cornette will. After the match Braun is going crazy at ringside before storming up the rampway...hm maybe he could go after someone.

We cut to the Jamboree vignette...

Scene opens in chairman Emil A's office where he and Mickie discuss last weeks happenings, with the masked attackers on Charlotte and Jamie, dressed as Mickie. Emil then asks Mickie if she's thought about that other thing they talked about. Mickie then asks which one of them. Emil then replies, " about Supersplash " Mickie says she has, and she think she'll do it. Emil A. smiles and gesture for her to come and sit in his lap. She does and he kiss her. Then he says " You are the most wonderful woman in the world Mickie. Nobody can replace you. Not in EAM, or in my private life. You made it all possible. I would not deny you a thing in the world world. If you have thought about it, I won't stand in your way " Mickie kisses him and we cut to the arena....

The commentators welcome us to another edition of Jamboree and then tell us that next weekend it's Superplash, but before that, EAM will be live from Cannes, France, during the annual film festival. Where the semi finals in the TV Title Tournament will take place, together with some other burning hot bookings. Then after that, we will be going live from The United Arab Emirates for Supersplash! But that's next week, now it's Jamboree and we have many good matches for you tonight as well, so take it away Melissa!

We get a backstage promo from the masked luchador who attacked Adam Cole last week. He says he's sick of Cole's attitude, and the way he treats the boys. He wants to be out of the group, and he wants a match against Cole at Supersplash, so he can be bruised, beate and humiliated in front of all the EAM promotions' fans. He then takes off the mask and reveals who it is. It's Roderick Strong! WTF?! Strong says he's done being a serf and standing in the shadows of others. Now he wants to prove why he got hired in EAM in the first place. Because he's one of the best in the world, and Cole knows it is true! We cut back to the arena and our next match.

Ricochet Vs Zack Sabre Jr.

After the matchup, whoever wins it. When Ricochet walks up the rampway and gets to the stage, the camera follows him backstage to the Gorilla position, where he almost bumps into Orange Cassidy. Ricochet stops in his track, asking Cassidy if there is something he want. Cassidy does not respond, but instead he pulls out a pair of sunglasses from the breastpocket of his denim jacket and gives then to Ricochet. Ricochet accepts them and puts them on. Then Cassidy does a gesture with his hands. like " I see you, you see me " or do he mean, that he wants to wrestle Ricochet?! This Orange Cassidy is a enigma of a man. But it seems as Ricochet understood what he meant, as he nodds. Cassidy leaves, with his hands in his pockets, saying nothing. Leaving Ricochet left alone with his new sunglasses.

We cut to another place backstage where we hook up with Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch. Seth's trying to cheer Becky up, as her career in EAM has not been good as of late, suffering a big loss to Charlotte recently to mention one. Seth asks if there is anything he can do to cheer her up, and Becky say it might be. She then asks to get rid of Charlotte for her. Seth smiles and tell Becky to try and ignore her. She's nothing compared to Becky! Suddenly there is a cough and Seth and Becky turns around. Charlotte is standing together with a fair haired guy. Charlotte asks politely if Becky had anything to do with the attack on her last week. Becky asks why she would even care about her? Charlotte gets angry, telling Becky that she better tell the truth or else.... Seth goes in between them and asks, yeah? what else? Then the fair haired guy goes in between them, trying to calm them all down. Seth then asks what buffoon this is? Charlotte then bitchslaps Seth, telling him that....the fair haired guy interrupts Charlotte, introducing himself as David Flair. Charlotte's big brother. And if somebody has anything to say about Charlotte, he or she can say it to him. Becky laughs, asking if Charlotte suddenly can't stand up for herself? It all culminates into all four almost going at each other, but Charlotte then challenge Becky and Seth for a match tonight. A special tag team challenge. Seth and Becky Vs Charlotte and David. Becky accepts before neither one gets to say anything about it. We cut to the arena.

The commentators tell us that they just got word that Seth & Becky Vs Charlotte and David will be tonights main event.

We get a promo from Khabib. This is shot like a UFC promo of sorts, as Khabib talks about his last encounter with McGregor. And everyone knows how that ended. He then talks about how he looks at his contract with EAM Promotions as a huge opportunity to renew himself, to add to his already huge legacy. And if he has to bead Conor again to prove to everyone that he's the real deal. Hell! He would do it anytime! We then get to see Conor's side of the case, where he talks about his MMA career, and then his wrestling career, which really can't be compared. Conor really wants the EAM audience to give him a chance, but they have been though on him up to now. Maybe this is his last chance to prove it. If so, he will make the best of it, either given outcome!

Aleister Black Vs AJ Styles

After the match, whoever wins it, the winner cut's a promo and says he's got a challenge for a certain someone for Supersplash. He challenge Keith Lee to a match at the summer's biggest event! We then cut to commercial break.

As we get back from commercial break, we are about to kick off our main event of the night, which was announced earlier, as Becky accepted Charlotte's challenge for a intergender tag team matchup on the behalf of both herself and Seth.

Awesome match to open the show. Both teams look great. Lot of high flying, fast paced action and this is Lucha Bros restart time their career. Signature and finishing moves from the both of them, Haas of Pain and a T Bone for 2 counts but at the end of the match Fenix with a 450 and Pentagon with a Packaged Piledriver for the 3 count and win.

Hmm strange but I guess Undisputed Era are over. Cole/Dragon a team but Strong got sick of it and quit. Should be a good match.

Pretty good match. Kind of sad how hard Ricochet has fallen after winning so much but he gets the win here. Sabre gets some good submission moves in and maybe Ricochet could go after a tag title again with someone like Cedric. They’ve been messing around online calling themselves the Inner City Machine Guns. Ricochet wins after a ssp.

Ricochet is a nice guy. Hard to ever see him as a bad guy. Could be a good entertaining match, don’t think they should be a team though because Cassidy is with Tornado/MOX but a match could be a good match. Thought Cassidy vs Lee was happening but probably best if it doesn’t.

We cut to another place backstage where we hook up with Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch. Fun British match between the both of them. Both look pretty solid. Cross Fire for a 2 count but at the end Paige gets the win after the Paige Turner. I’m actually surprised Paige gets so much. Must be popular with Emil. In an alternate reality Paige could be retired but still wrestlers which is something that doesn’t happen much.

Solid match from both guys. Styles Clash with a kick out and a Black Mass kick out. Springboard 450 splash from AJ for a close 2. I definitely think when it’s all done AJ will be in the Hall of Fame. BLACK MASS....COVER...1...STYLES REVERSES...2...3...IT’S OVER. STYLES BEATS BLACK.

Nice. Should be a good match. Could be a tough challenge for Lee. Don’t think Black is at that level yet but Styles could have a real good chance and magical things happen on the big PPV’s. Plus if Lee is in another match.

As we get back from commercial break, we are about to kick off our main event of the night, which was announced earlier, as Becky accepted Charlotte's challenge for a intergender tag team matchup on the behalf of both herself and Seth.

Big main event for sure. Would be nice to see Andrade involved with Charlotte though. Good back and forth tag match from everyone involved with even Charlotte whipping Rollins. Flair looks okay but is much older now. Becky takes down Charlotte with a Go to Bed. Rollins with a Stomp to Flair. Charlotte locks in the Figure Eight on Rollins!. Becky breaks it up. At the end of the match Becky and Charlotte take each other out which leads to Flair thinking he’s about to get the pin on Seth who reverses with the God’s Last Gift for the 3 count!. Becky and Rollins get a needed win as we end the show. Maybe they could go after the mixed tag in the future. An idea.

As we get back from commercial break, we get a Nakamura/Okada feud package. We see how they went from one of the greatest tag teams in the world, to the split-up, and then their matches against each other. We see highlights of promos and from the matches, then we are hyped up for another match against them. The one match to end it all. As is been promoted as " The Final Fall " We cut to the arena for our main event of the evening, where the commentators gives us the news that the winning team of tonights main event will be added to the Supersplash card somehow.

Because he is Der Ring General, and the era of The Imperium has just began!

North look really solid In this one. Getting some big bumps and spots in. Nice MMA rules guess it makes sense. Would have thought No Holds Barred or even an Iron Circle match. At the end of the match Packaged Piledriver for the 3 count on Page.

Makes sense to finish the feud I suppose. Don’t want too many gimmick matches but it is Supersplash

Hmm interesting to see which match they’ll be added too but it’s still a chance. Both teams look solid getting some big snd good spots in but at the end after a bunch of dives outside the ring it is Crummels and Defarge picking up the win.

Live from The Grand Ballroom, New York/USA


We start backstage where we hook up with all three of our ring announcers, Melissa Santos, Mandy Leon and Jamie Keyes. Mandy and Jamie admires Melissa's title belt, telling her that she really wears it in style etc. And that it looks good on her. They then ask her what she's going to do with it. After all, it is a championship belt. Melissa then lightens up, it's allmost as we can see the lightbulb over her head. What if they had a match for it at Supersplash? Wouldn't that be cool? It's not like either of them gets that much attention around here. Mandy and Jamie loves the idea. Offcourse, that would be pretty funny. Melissa then says it's settled then. As she don't think Quinn would mind. She will ask her during one of the commercial breaks. Maria then suddenly walks by. She goes for the belt but Mandy and Leon stops her. Maria screams it's her belt! Melissa then calmly says, as she can remember, they wrestled over it, and Maria lost. Maria screams to Melissa that she will pay for this. She will get it back. But in the meantime, she has bigger things in mind. So just keep that belt until then. So Melissa can feel for a short while how it is to be a star like Maria! We cut to the Spotlight vignette...

We go to our new announce team Beth Phoenix & Jillian Hall. They tell us that we are in for a treat tonight, as our main event are scheduled to be Alexa Bliss Vs Ronda Rousey! The tension between the two factions has been strong for months now, and there are rumors about a big four on four match between the two factions. They also tell us that they have been granted a rematch for the titles at Supersplash. Beth smiles to Jillian, telling her that they will geth them back, she promise. Now, take it away Jamie!

Isis The Amazon & Lylah Lodge Vs Kairi Sane & Io Shirai

Beth and Jillian points out that Asuka is not with Kairi and Io tonight, and wonder why. But then we see pictures from the backstage on the titantron. Asuka is backstage, attacking a inattentive Melina from the back! Melina goes down, and the two women starts to brawl. This distracts everyone, in the ring as well. Security quickly seperates the two women. Asuka screams to Melina in japanese, but Melina just shrugs at her. Jade then joins Asuka and Leah joins Melina. There is a stare down between the four women, but security holds them apart.

Shazza McKenzie Vs Harlow 'O Hara

We get another promo video, this time from our Center of Attention Champion; Nia Jax. She talks about a rumor she just heard. Something a little bird told her. We also get another match in the books for Supersplash, as the actions earlier on the show between Melina and Asuka will be taken further. So at Supersplash, they will be facing each other, but they will also be having a partner, as Asuka teams up with Jade Chung to take on Melina Perez and Leah Von Dutch! We cut to ringside for our anticipated main event after these announcements.

Mandy and Jamie admires Melissa's title belt, telling her that she really wears it in style etc. And that it looks good on her. They then ask her what she's going to do with it. After all, it is a championship belt. Melissa then lightens up, it's allmost as we can see the lightbulb over her head. What if they had a match for it at Supersplash? Wouldn't that be cool? It's not like either of them gets that much attention around here. Mandy and Jamie loves the idea. Offcourse, that would be pretty funny. Melissa then says it's settled then. As she don't think Quinn would mind. She will ask her during one of the commercial breaks. Maria then suddenly walks by. She goes for the belt but Mandy and Leon stops her. Maria screams it's her belt! Melissa then calmly says, as she can remember, they wrestled over it, and Maria lost. Maria screams to Melissa that she will pay for this. She will get it back. But in the meantime, she has bigger things in mind. So just keep that belt until then. So Melissa can feel for a short while how it is to be a star like Maria! We cut to the Spotlight vignette...

Wow lot to take in here. Kind of weird they’d intentionally get Moxley DQ’d but I guess if they’re more heel now it makes sense and not to care and since he has another title. I wasn’t sure what was/is the final but Scurll vs MOX vs MJF was the plan but I had no intention of ever having MOX win the TV title anyway so that’s good and keeps him strong. Bate not the strongest or biggest name but different. Also since MOX has another title it makes sense for him to not win and smart move making him fight Allin/Havoc. Not sure a gimmick is needed since no rules already but could be hardcore and makes it more fun to go other places. Also no need or belt for MOX to cash in on anyway.

Marty already has a belt but MJF wants it bad just to send the message to Emil and how ironic would it be if MJF has the tv title and would be forced to be on TV if Emil/EAM like it or not. MJF comes back with a swanton a cravate driver...

HE CELEBRATES HIS WIN.....WAIT A MINUTE....MJF’S FOOT IS ON THE ROPE...HE HAS NO IDEA...SCURLL IS CELEBRATING ON THE TOP ROPE...MJF WITH A JEW DRIVER SPANISH FLY OFF THE TOP ROPE....COVER....1....2....3...IT’S OVER WOW!. Damn it that son of a bitch has advanced!. Fans boo but very smart. Neither men are popular but MJF always has something up his sleeve. Emil and EAM are not gonna be happy with this one!. Looks like Bate vs Lee vs MJF so Scurll has another shot to get the title in his faction. Would have been nice if MJF vs Scurll vs MOX was the final but the way it works out.

Huge main event. All men look great. Big bumps, high flying, signature, finishing and double teaming moves from everybody involved. A good 30 minute match full of action. Lovers get close falls. Heavy look for their new finisher but it gets stopped. Lucha Bros with Packaged Piledriver and 450. Very hard to pick a winner as they’re fighting each other. So at the end as Heavy are about to nail this new finisher the Tractor and Trailer...ROLL UP 1...2....NO HEAVY ALMOST LOST AGAIN. THIS LEADS TO A HUGE BRAWL. BACK AND FORTH FROM EVERYBODY. THIS IS CRAZY. THE BELL RINGS AND THIS MATCH IS RULED A NO CONTEST. SAD BUT MAKES SENSE. The show ends with a giant brawl from all teams involved. Even the champions face off against each other. Maybe in the future the belts will merge but not yet. Nice for the show to end focusing some attention on the tag belts for once.
