Professional heavyweight boxer Tyson Fury is preparing for his rematch against Deontay Wilder but is still being asked about a pro wrestling return.

Fury, who is expected to fight Wilder for the second time in the first quarter of 2020, did an interview with talkSPORT about a wide range of topics including his pro wrestling debut.

He did so when he beat Braun Strowman by count-out last month at the WWE Crown Jewel pay-per-view event in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Shortly after this match, Fury went on record that it was a one-off match but is open to another match down the road because he’s such a big fan.

Fury shared in this interview that Vince McMahon was pleased with the result of the match and his performance.

“Vince McMahon said he has recruited sports stars from all different sports and he has never seen anyone come into their game, have a couple of training sessions, and pick it up like that. I looked like a natural in there!”

Fury noted that the decision to do the match didn’t go well with his management, promoters, trainers, and family because of his slated fight with Wilder and the possibility of an injury.

When asked about his WWE future, Fury once again teased an appearance at WrestleMania 36 but this time, he didn’t list a potential opponent.

“We have left the door open. WrestleMania is coming up in April so who knows – never say never.”

WrestleMania 36 will take place Sunday, April 5th, 2020 from Tampa, FL at the Raymond James Stadium and air on the WWE Network.
