The main event has been revealed for the next WWE NXT UK special, TakeOver: Blackpool II.

On Thursday, WWE confirmed that NXT UK Champion WALTER will make his next title defense against Joe Coffey in the main event of the show.

The company set up this contest on this episode that was taped last month in Hull, England at the Bonus Arena. A contract signing made the contest official.

As of this writing, this is the first match to be announced thus far for this event. The first NXT UK Takeover event took place back on January 12, 2019.

NXT UK TakeOver: Blackpool II goes down on Saturday, January 11, 2020 at the Empress Ballroom and will air on their streaming service, the WWE Network.

The rest of the card will be announced over the next few weeks leading up to the show, which has been sold out.

The previous NXT UK special took place on Saturday, August 31, 2019 at the WWE NXT UK TakeOver: Cardiff event from the Motorpoint Arena in Cardiff, Wales. That show was headlined by WALTER vs. Tyler Bate.
