NXT has now been established as a separate third brand of its own, rather than a training ground for new wrestlers. The black and gold brand was present at Survivor Series when it beat both the two main brands – Raw and SmackDown. While the three brands are now back to their own business, it looks like NXT will have another opportunity to be involved with the main roster – that is on WrestleMania 36.

According to the Twitter account WrestleVotes, which has broken multiple stories in the past, NXT is set to be involved in WrestleMania 36 on the main card in April next year.

Heard from a well placed source, as of now, NXT will have a role at WrestleMania. Not talking about TakeOver, but on the actual Mania card. No details as to who or what, but an NXT presence will be felt at Raymond James Stadium.

WWE is also reportedly making plans for the 2020 Royal Rumble matches, and NXT wrestlers will be participating in the battle royale matches for both the men’s and women’s division, according to a report by Wrestling Observer Live.

While there will be no Takeover event accompanying Royal Rumble this year, WWE has announced a Worlds Collide event which will see stars from NXT and NXT UK competing against each other the night before the PPV. As for the Royal Rumble, WWE is considering adding 10 NXT stars into the battle royale matches.

It would be interesting to see how WWE handles the brand from here on, and if we’ll get to see the third brand incorporated more in the major PPV events.
