Impact Wrestling has announced a new match for their January 12th Hard to Kill pay-per-view. A dream match of sorts will take place when Rob Van Dam takes on Brian Cage.

The match between the two was set up this week on Impact, when Rob Van dam and Katie Forbes took their after match celebration to the backstage area near where Cage was being interviewed. After RVD and Forbes agreed to leave the area, Rob Van Dam took some parting shots at Cage for stealing his moves and also for having been pinned by Tessa Blanchard.

Rob Van Dam defeated Rhino on the last episode of Impact Wrestling. In Cage’s last match, he was the final elimination in the 6-person elimination match which saw Tessa Blanchard crowned #1 contender.
