An AEW Title match has been pushed back after changes were made to an episode of Dynamite on TNT.

On Friday, All Elite Wrestling announced that Kris Statlander vs. AEW Women’s Champion Riho for the title on next week’s Dynamite has been scrapped over Statlander’s previous commitments.

Now, Riho defends the AEW Women’s Title against Nyla Rose, Britt Baker, and Hikaru Shida in Fatal 4-Way Match. Statlander will take on the winner on the January 8th show in Southaven, MS.

AEW issued the following statement on their official Twitter account:

“Due to prior commitments, Kris Statlander will not be in Jacksonville to face Riho for the #AEW Women’s World Championship on Wed, Jan 1st. Riho will still defend her championship in a 4 way match w/ Nyla Rose, Britt Baker & Hikaru Shida.

However, we are excited to announce that Kris Statlander will face the winner at the #AEW Anniversary edition of Dynamite Wednesday, Jan 8th in Southaven, MS. Tickets for both shows can be found at AEWTIX.com.”

Here is the updated card for the January 1st episode of Dynamite on TNT:

  • Will Jon Moxley accept Chris Jericho’s invitation to join The Inner Circle?
  • Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks vs. The Lucha Bros. and PAC
  • Cody Rhodes vs. Darby Allin
  • Riho defends AEW Women’s Championship against Nyla Rose, Britt Baker, and Hikaru Shida in Fatal 4-Way Match

This episode will serve as the first show of Dynamite of the new year for All Elite Wrestling after taking a week off. They will also go unopposed by WWE as next week’s episode of NXT will not be live.
