All Elite Wrestling has officially signed Austin Gunn. Last week, his father, Billy Gunn, teamed with Austin following AEW: Dynamite in Jacksonville, FL. Although it was initially believed their matchup against Shawn Spears and Preston Vance would be a part of the most recent AEW: Dark, the bout was not present in the uploaded episode. According to ProWrestlingSheet’s Ryan Satin, however, that was always the plan.

Sources claimed that The Gunn Club’s matchup was never intended to air on Dark. Instead, it acted as more of a tryout for Austin. This tryout evidently went well, as not only did Austin and Billy go on to face the team of Shawn Spears and Peter Avalon after last night’s Dynamite, AEW Executive Vice President Cody Rhodes would come out after their match to announce they have signed Austin to AEW.

This taped matchup will most likely air on next week’s episode of Dark, which is available to watch on the promotion’s YouTube channel.

Austin Gunn has previously appeared on AEW. He made his debut for the company during the All Out Battle Royal in 2018. That match was eventually won by a masked Flip Gordon. He also competed in last year’s Ring of Honor Top Prospect Tournament, losing in the finals to Dak Draper.
