This week on DYNAMITE, watch the first-ever AEW Big Man Lumberjack Match between Luchasaurus and Wardlow. FTR face the Natural Nightmares. Mr. Brodie Lee & Colt Cabana go up against Sonny Kiss & Joey Janela. And, which version of Matt Hardy will appear when he battles The Inner Circle's Santana?

- The final Dynamite before the two-week Fyter Fest extravaganza kicks off with the regular signature open, followed by the camera panning the Daily's Place amphitheater in Jacksonville, FL. where Jim Ross welcomes us to a live edition of AEW Dynamite.

Lumberjack Match: Luchasaurus vs. Wardlow

Wardlow with a lariat that turns Luchasaurus inside out. He rolls out to the floor and the good guys check on him. Wardlow goes out, gives a shove to Jurassic Express and then rolls Luchasaurus back in the ring. Wardlow with a big spear to the midsection in the corner. Luchasaurus sent to the floor and they start swinging on him. Luchasaurus erupts from the pile to free himself. Luchasaurus on the apron, MJF with the ankle grab long enough for Wardlow to attack and bring him into the ring the hard way.

Wardlow with a release suplex, release german suplex, couple punches to the face, but Luchasaurus returns fire with a flurry of kicks and a standing moonsault, cover, two. Luchasaurus with a chokehold, climbs up to the second rope, but Wardlow fights back, headbutts, superplex hits clean, cover, two-count. Both up, Wardlow with a hurricarana! Luchsaurus with a so-so standing spanish fly for a two-count. Both out on the ramp, Wardlow slams his opponent down on it. Jungle Boy checks on his partner. Wardlow takes him and launches Jungle Boy into the other lumberjacks. Stunt leaps off the stage down on the lumberjacks to help out. Both guys out on the stage now, swinging away on each other. Brandon Cutler gets involved and is thrown into the pile of lumberjacks by Wardlow.

Stunt on Wardlow, he gets military pressed up and thrown down on the crowd. Luchasaurus with a spinning kick on Wardlow, falling on the pile. Luchasaurus with a shooting star press off the stage on everyone. Back in the ring, Luchasaurus with a chokeslam, MJF distracts the ref. Jungle Boy with a spear, sending MJF down on the lumberjacks out on the floor. Wardlow with a lowblow kick during the craziness. Hits a spinning F-10, cover, 1-2-3.

Winner: Wardlow

- Post-match, Jungle Boy and Stunt check on their guy, but MJF and Wardlow attack them. Everyone gets in the ring and we're seeing a giant brawl in the ring. Tony Khan then tells commentary it will be MJF and Wardlow vs. Jungle Boy and Luchasaurus at Fyter Fest.

- Commentary announces tonight's lineup.

- Britt Baker passes a note to Tony Schiavone, saying he's still on a friend timeout. Baker now has security and she is now encases in a plexiglass security case after what happened last week with Big Swole.

- Hikaru Shida heads out and gets right in Penelope Ford's face as she's at ringside tonight. Shida finally heads to the ring.

Hikaru Shida vs. Red Velvet

Shida immediately drops her opponent with a running knee, hits the falcon arrow, cover, and we're already done!

Winner: Hikaru Shida

- Post-match, Shida goes right after Ford and hits her in the back. She jumps the guardrail and attacks Ford some more. Shida then drops Sabian and continues the attack until the two are separated.

- AEW TNT Championship Press Conference with Cody, surrounded by The Nightmare Family. Jake Hager has yet to show up to the presser. Arn is asked if he's surprised that Hager hasn't shown up. Arn says he isn't necessarily surprised, but despite Hager doing a lot of barking lately, it's just not time for Hager. He saw Cody's face though and felt like Cody wanted this guy. Arn says Hager may have the credentials, but he's disrespecting people by not showing up today. He says at the end of the day, Cody will remain champion.

Cody is asked how it feels to be the first AEW TNT Champion. Cody says it feels like hope. Says he has a reputation of a boy scout ("do the work") and that may not sit well with everyone. He doesn't like meta or cosplaying wrestling, he likes professional wrestling. Cody talks about the title itself is hope, it's well known it's incomplete and helped them get through the fog of the pandemic.

Jake Hager and his wife finally show up. Hager asks Cody if he's ready, and calls for the cameraman! He faces off with Cody, poses for the camera, puts his fist to Cody's face. Cody smiles and smacks it away. Dustin barks a little, but Cody holds him off and says not right now, not the time. Cody turns around and Hager's wife throws a glass of water in Cody's face. Dustin yells to get her off the stage, but Cody remains calm and just lets everyone know that the presser is done.

- Sonny Kiss out driving with Joey Janela. Kiss says he understands Janela better than most and sometimes you just lose yourself. They pull into a gas station, Janela goes in for snacks. A group of guys comes up to Kiss and attempt to take the care. Kiss starts fighting with them. Janela strolls out and sees what's happening. He start fighting and they end up taking out the group. In the car, Kiss says he could get used to this, and Janela agree.

Brodie Lee and Colt Cabana vs. Sonny Kiss and Joey Janela

Lee and Kiss get things going, Kiss able to use his agility to get away from Lee. Huricarana lands, handspring slap lands, but Lee cracks Kiss with some big strikes. Lee tosses Kiss aside, Janela tags in and immediately gets shoulder blocked down. Lee then tags in Cabana, but Janela takes control, then tags in Kiss. Kiss and Janela with some tandem offense, but Lee gets in and hits a big boot on Janela. He sends Kiss to the apron, Silver and Reynolds with some cheap shots, Cabana didn't see it and throws a big elbow at Kiss, cover, two.

Janela with a crossbody on Cabana, death valley driver, cover, two. Kiss with a big flip off the top rope down to the floor on Cabana. Back in the ring, Kiss with a 450 splash on Cabana, Janela with the cover, Lee breaks it up. Janela sends Lee to the floor. Kiss with a dropkick on Lee and throws an elbow to Cabana. Janela puts Cabana on his shoulders, Colt with a reversal, cover, two. Lee kicked back to the floor. Lee back to the second rope, but Cabana is pulled out of the ring. Kiss then lands a crossbody on Silver and Reynolds. Lee with a big kick on Kiss. Janela tries for a suicide dive, Lee sends him into the barricade, then back in the ring. Lee with a discus lariat on Janela. He then offers up Janela to Cabana, he gets the pin for the win.

Winners: Brodie Lee and Colt Cabana

- Post-match, Lance Archer attacks Kiss from behind and then throws him across the floor. Janela is up with a chair, throws it right at Archer, it does nothing and Archer drops Janela. Roberts then holds Archer back from doing anything else.

- Last night on Dark, Shawn Spears picked up a win after putting a foreign object in his black glove to pick up the easy win over Pineapple Pete.

FTR vs SCU

FTR works over Kazarian in the early stages of the match. Commentary notes Nature Nightmares are off tonight's show due to QT Marshall coming in contact with a non-wrestling acquaintance who tested positive for COVID-19 and it was safest if he stayed home. Daniels gets tagged in and lands some chops, knees, and a headbutt on Wheeler. Harwood holds onto Wheels as he's whipped into the ring to avoid a strike. The two teams get in the middle of the ring and start jawing, brawl breaks out and both teams end up out on the floor as we go to break.

Harwood with a snap suplex, sends Kazarian out of the ring. Harwood with a slingshot suplex on Daniels, cover, two. Daniels with the roll-up, Kazarian distracting the referee. Wheeler slides in and rolls them over, cover, two-count for Harwood. Both tag out, Wheeler and Kazarian swing away on each other. Kazarian with a big kick and a lariat. He hits a backstabber, kick by Daniels, Kazarian plants Wheeler, cover, two.

Daniels tags in, but gets sent into the corner as Harwood sends Kazarian to the floor. Harwood tags in, second rope leg drop / sidewalk slam combo on Daniels. Harwood puts Daniels up top, superplex, but Daniels holds on for the cover, two. Kazarian grabbed Wheels legs so he could hit the top rope splash. SCU hits power bomb / neck break combo, cover, two. Angels's wings by Daniels, cover, it's broken up. Wheeler tags in and goodnight express (aka shatter machine) hits on Daniels, cover, 1-2-3.

Winners: FTR

- Post-match, Harwood on the mic and says FTR wasn't welcomed to the roster, but there are good guys and bad guys. Ultimately, they are the baddest on the roster. Harwood then calls out a bunch of tag teams, including the Young Bucks. He says they have graduated from the kid's table and they are with the big boys now. They say they are the best tag team on the planet. The Buthcher and The Blade are in FTR's truck. Blade on the mic, says this is the truck is just what they've been looking for. FTR goes to run over, but Blade threatens to trash the truck. Blade then challenges them for a match at Fyter Fest: FTR / Young Bucks vs. The Butcher, The Blade, Pentagon Jr, and Fenix. Wheeler yells they accept. Pentagon and Fenix drop FTR in the ring, Young Bucks run out to chase off Fenix and Pentagon. The duo runs off to the truck and they drive off.

- Vignette shown for AEW World Tag Team Champions Kenny Omega and Hangman Page vs. Best Friends. They highlight the differences between all four guys, and how Best Friends are now red hot. Chuck Taylor says despite working in a bunch of promotions together, they've never won titles anywhere. Omega says he's not taking them lightly, knowing Taylor and Trent have wrestled for a long time. Page says they are going to whoop both of those weirdos' asses.

- AEW World Champion Jon Moxley, says he had no problems with Brian Cage, until that parking lot attack that send Moxley through a car windshield. Taz wonders how much damage has been done to Moxley after that attack, calling him "damaged goods."

Brian Cage vs. Joe Cruz

Taz joins commentary as Cage immediately lifts and launches his opponent. Cage curls the guy and launches him over his head. Overhead release suplex, Cruz out to the ramp, Cage then powerbombs him back into the ring! Cage hits the drill claw, cover, 1-2-3. Commentary notes this match was meant for Jon Moxley, but he's also staying home due to coming in contact with someone who tested positive for COVID-19.

Winner: Brian Cage

- Post-match, Taz gets on the mic, asking where Moxley is at. Taz looks at the camera and says he found Moxley, sitting on his ass at home. Taz says Moxley is afraid. He continues that Cage came to work, while Moxley stayed home for some "bulls--- excuse." He continues that Cage is going to take the title at Fyter Fest.

- Britt Baker hanging out in her cart with Reba talking with her. Big Swole rolls up to the cart and talks some trash. Baker says there's nothing Swole can do this time and enjoys a drink. Swole says okay, and heads off, but just walks up to a high part of the stage, grabs some trash and dumps it down on Baker. Baker screams in horror and yells for Reba, who uses a leaf blower (?) to try and get Big Swole away.

"Broken" Matt Hardy vs. Santana (with Ortiz)

Neo 1 shows up and flies around a bit during Hardy's entrance. Santana gets the early momentum, until he's dumped out to the floor. Hardy with a big shot to the face, then jams Santana's face against the ring post and throws him into the barricade. Santana in the ring, Hardy's foot gets hung up on the rope and Santana gives his leg a kick. Santana continues to work over Hardy with some help from Ortiz on the outside.

Hardy looks for a suplex, eats a back elbow, and then gets planted to the ring, cover, two. Hardy throws some punches, but Santana fires back. Santana tries for a frog splash, nobody home. Hardy limping around a bit as he beats up Santana, sending his head into all three turnbuckles. Hardy with a side effect, cover, two-count. Santana up to the second rope, gets kicked, Hardy looks for a pin, Ortiz distracts the referee. Hardy goes for a move, Santana hits a death valley driver, cover, Hardy reverses for a three-count!

Winner: Matt Hardy

- Post-match, Ortiz smacks Hardy with the loaded sock a few times. Santana and Ortiz then hit street sweeper on Hardy. Private Party run out to get the other guys out of the ring.

- Next up is the face-off between Orange Cassidy and Chris Jericho. The two will meet on the second night of Fyter Fest. Cassidy heads out first, Jericho second. Jericho asks "Why did the chicken cross the road? To get to the other side." It's a joke that everybody knows, at first it's kind of funny, but after awhile the joke becomes annoying...just like Cassidy. Jericho says Cassidy just simply pisses him off. He thought his matches are an embarrassment to the business. Jericho called the higher-ups and wondered why in the hell did they bring in Cassidy. Their response: "People love him."

Jericho says he does applaud Cassidy for getting over by being himself, by doing something different. Jericho says part of his appeal is he's a lot like the fans — lazy and a slacker. He says Cassidy now has gotten out of his lane when he got in Jericho's face. He says if Cassidy does that "bulls---" light kick stuff, he's going to knock Cassidy out. He says the Orange Cassidy phenomenon will end at Fyter Fest because he's going to make sure Cassidy runs out of juice. Jericho liked that joke, but Cassidy takes the mic from him. He goes to speak, sets the mick down and gives Jericho the light kick stuff. Jericho is mad. Cassidy puts his hands in his pockets.Jericho takes the shades and breaks them! Cassidy with a takedown and punches.

They spill out to the floor and Cassidy throws more punches. Jericho finally gets in a punch and then lands a few more, tugging Cassidy's jacket over his head. Cassidy fights back as the two make their way up into the stands. More back and forth punches. Jericho takes the jib camera and launches it into Cassidy. Cassidy's ear looks to be bleeding pretty good after that shot. Jericho up on a crate and looks to slam Cassidy. Cassidy gets away, hits a big superman punch that sends Jericho off the crate and down through a table! Cassidy puts on another pair of shades as he notices his bloody ear. He then stares at Jericho and gives a weak thumbs up as the show closes.
