Middleweight Brendan Allen remains unbeaten in the octagon after UFC on ESPN 12. But he is seriously injured and contemplating a new weight class after outpointing Kyle Daukaus.

Allen’s manager, Brian Butler, on Sunday said the 24-year-old Allen suffered three fractures in his orbital floor and nose after the back-and-forth fight, which served on the ESPN-televised main card of Saturday’s event at UFC APEX.

Butler added Allen could be out the remainder of the year. Medical suspensions for the event have not yet been released, but he could already be facing a lengthy term if he’s unable to get a doctor to clear him.

Allen took home scores of 29-28, 29-27 and 30-27 after a late-fight surge from Daukaus. The Roufusport product and Contender Series vet has now defeated Kevin Holland, Tom Breese and Daukaus in the octagon.
