UFC's July 15 show has taken another hit courtesy of a positive COVID-19 test.

Marina Rodriguez vs. Carla Esparza is now off of the card in Abu Dhabi after one of Rodriguez’s corners tested positive for the virus, sources told MMA Fighting. Rodriguez’s test came back negative, but the UFC opted to remove her from Friday night's chartered flight from Sao Paulo to Abu Dhabi.

Given the restriction of flights to United Arab Emirates due to the coronavirus pandemic, the UFC will likely postpone the match to a later date instead of looking for a new opponent for "The Cookie Monster" that night.

A former UFC champion, Esparza is on a three-fight winning streak, capped off by a big victory over Michelle Waterson. Rodriguez is undefeated in 14 professional bouts, including a 2-0-2 under the UFC banner.

The Fight Night event will be headlined by Calvin Kattar vs. Dan Ige. Brazilian fighters Anderson dos Santos and Vinicius Moreira were also pulled from the same show on “Fight Island” after testing positive for COVID-19 earlier this week.
