Vickie Guerrero shocked the wrestling world Friday night on AEW Dynamite when she introduced Andrade as her new client. The former WWE Superstar once known as La Sombra in Meixco is now known as Andrade El Idolo.

Andrade cut a brief promo on Dynamite telling viewers that he intends to be the new face of All Elite Wrestling. On Saturday, he posted a message on Instagram touting new goals, new opportunities and more success.

“The NEW ANDRADE EL IDOLO. New goals. New opportunities to achieve. More Success. Thank you so much for great introduction @guerrero_vickie thanks for the wonderful welcome @allelitewrestling @aewontnt Nuevas metas. Nuevos rivales. Recuerden lo valioso que son y lo muchos que luchan por cada una de sus metas. Ve y busca el éxito, el éxito no está en el locker room!”

Andrade was released by WWE on March 21st. This came several weeks after he informed WWE management of his desire to leave. Andrade was not bound by the common 90-day no-compete clause and began talks with AEW President Tony Khan just days after becoming a free agent. According to Raj Giri, Andrade also negotiated with Impact Wrestling before closing a deal with AEW. He signed with AEW just a few days ago after the terms of his deal were finalized.

The world is OURS! I love more. Thank you for all your support!!! #Andrade #CharlotteFlair
