Emotions will run high as Edge takes on Dominik Mysterio

Edge goes to battle with Dominik Mysterio, Raquel Rodriguez & Aliyah face Dakota Kai & IYO SKY, and Johnny Gargano makes his in-ring return.

Your announcers are Corey Graves, Jimmy Smith, and Byron Saxton.

Seth Rollins ‘dances’ his way to the ring.

Seth welcomes everyone to Monday Night Rollins and he cackles. Seth asks if the people of Portland believe in karma. He says he was a little skeptical, but nine days ago, at Clash at the Castle, the universe was in perfect harmony because he beat Matt Riddle. Seth cackles and he says he stomped Matt’s head into the mat twice while more than sixty thousand people sang his song. Seth says he is living rent free in Matt’s pea brain because Matt wants a rematch. The problem is that I am not too interested in a rematch.

You may be asking yourselves, what is next for Seth Rollins? While I pondered that exact question over the past week. Seth wants the crowd to stop chanting ‘rematch’. He says he is interested in the fact that it is has been far too long since he has held championship gold.

Matt Riddle’s music interrupts.

Matt goes after Rollins and Rollins with punches but Riddle with kicks. Rollins backs Riddle into the corner. Riddle drops Rollins over the top rope to the floor. Rollins sends Riddle into the announce table and then Rollins goes into the crowd past someone dressed like Tugboat. Rollins punches Riddle and he runs back into the ringside area and heads to the back. Riddle chases after Rollins, but stops when the music for THE Judgment Day plays.

Finn Balor and Damian Priest appear and they have microphones.

Balor says they are Matt’s friends and they aren’t here to fight. Priest tells Riddle to keep the hands down. Priest says they go back with Rhea. Priest says they are offering Riddle a spot. Priest says they were in the same situation. Superstars on the rise, but something or someone would hold us back. No more. We are here to change that for you.

Balor says Riddle has seen how much Dom has grown in the last few weeks. He has gotten out of his dad’s shadow. They took care of Rey and Dom will take care of Edge. Finn says they are problem solvers.

Priest says it is simple. He tells Riddle he can rise with THE Judgment Day or fall against them.

Riddle says they go back, but Riddle says his focus is on Seth. His answer is no . . . bro.

Finn tells Riddle he knows the laws are a little more relaxed in Portland so your brain is cloudy. Finn tells Riddle he either stands with them or you stand in their way.

Riddle with a jumping knee to Finn and he clotheslines Priest over the top rope to the floor.


Finn Balor vs Matt Riddle

The match is joined in progress and Finn with a chop. Riddle floats over in the corner and kicks Balor in the chest. Riddle with a gutwrench suplex and he holds on and hits a second one. Riddle with a back senton for a near fall. Balor kicks Riddle in the leg and then in the back of the leg. Balor puts Riddle’s leg in the ropes and works on it. Balor pulls Riddle off the turnbuckles to the mat. Balor with a reverse chin lock. Riddle with a judo throw, but he misses a back senton. Balor with forearms to the back and he gets a near fall.

Balor with a suplex for a near fall. Balor with a rear chin lock but Riddle gets Balor on his back. Balor with a neck breaker for a near fall. Balor with kicks to the chest. Riddle with a body scissors to send Balor over the top rope to the floor. Priest gets in the way of a running kick and that allows Balor to send Riddle into the apron. Balor chokes Riddle but misses a stomp. Riddle with kicks and he gets Balor on his shoulders. Balor escapes and hits an elevated elbow drop onto the apron.

We go to commercial with Riddle telling the referee about his neck.

We are back and Riddle with forearms but Balor with a kick to the knee. Riddle with a fisherman’s buster and both men are down. Riddle with a Pele Kick and a running forearm into the corner followed by a second one. Riddle with an exploder and Balor rolls to the floor. Riddle with a kick to the chest from the apron followed by a twisting Asai Moonsault onto Balor and Priest. Riddle blocks Sling Blade and hits a jumping knee to Balor. Riddle goes to the turnbuckles but Priest gets on the apron and Balor with a rollup for a near fall. Riddle misses a round kick and Balor with an elevated elbow drop.

Rey Mysterio attacks Damian Priest and sends him into the ring post. They fight to the back.

Riddle with a Go 2 Sleep followed by a German suplex for a near fall. Riddle goes up top for a twisting senton but Balor gets his knees up. Balor with a running drop kick and Balor goes up top. Balor misses Coup de Grace and Riddle with an IEDDT and then he sets for the RKO.

Rollins distracts Riddle and Riddle goes after Rollins. Blaor with 1916 and Coup de Grace for the three count.

Winner: Finn Balor

Rollins with Black Out to Riddle.


Backstage:
Sarah is in the back with the Bayley Bunch and Sarah asks about the rematch. Bayley says that it shouldn’t be a rematch because the wrong person was pinned. Dakota says what happened in the past does not matter because they will make things right. Iyo says this is their division. Sarah asks about pinning Bianca at Clash at the Castle, but they walk away.

Backstage:
Dominik Mysterio says he has been known as the son of the legendary Rey Mysterio. That ended at Clash at the Castle when I felt alive for the first time. I was tired of the disrespect I had received. Edge got exactly what he deserved. He says tonight he stops what he started. Dom tells his dad that he knows he is disappointed and that is too bad. It is his life, not Rey’s. You should look in the mirror and ask why. Why didn’t you get to know me. Instead of teaching me, why not ask me what I wanted for my career. For such a tiny tiny man, you cast a large shadow. I’m done living under it.

Rhea shows up and whispers something into Dom’s ear. Dominik says he is not Rey’s baby boy any more. He says he is a man. Dominik gets up and walks away while Rhea stands behind and smiles.

Austin Theory says there have been a lot of surprises. He knows who Johnny’s first opponent is going to be. It isn’t him. His opponent is someone he calls a close friend. The man who taught the Gable plan of success. Chad Gable.

Raquel Rodriguez and Aliyah (c) vs Dakota Kai and Iyo Sky (with Bayley)

Dakota and Raquel start things off and Dakota avoids Raquel. Raquel with a knee to the midsection and a delayed vertical gourdbuster. Aliyah makes the tag and gets a near fall. Aliyah with an Irish whip and splash into the corner. Raquel tags in and she hits a splash on Dakota for a near fall. Raquel with a wrist lock and she lifts Dakota in the air and hits a shoulder tackle for a near fall. Raquel with a wrist lock and she lifts Dakota in the air but Dakota goes for a sunset flip. Raquel does not go over and she misses with a punch. Dakota goes to the floor after an elbow drop from Raquel. Iyo is sent to the floor by Raquel and then Raquel press slams Aliyah onto Dakota and Iyo.

We are back and Raquel blocks an Irish whip and connects with a shoulder tackle. Aliyah tags in and hits a double sledge off the turnbuckles. Aliyah with a wrist lock but Iyo sends Aliyah to the mat with a wrist lock. Iyo with an Irish whip and Aliyah flips over Iyo and then hits a Thesz Press and punches Iyo. Iyo with a kick to the midsection. Iyo goes for a suplex but Aliyah gets to her feet and does a matrix followed by a hip toss. Dakota trips Aliyah and Iyo with a running double knee strike to the back and Dakota gets a near fall. Dakota with a forearm to the back and hard Irish whip. Dakota with a running boot to the head for a near fall.

Dakota sends Aliyah into the turnbuckles and Iyo tags in. Iyo with kicks in the corner and the referee checks on Aliyah. Iyo with a double knee strike in the corner. Dakota tags in and checks on Aliyah and then allows the match to continue. Dakota with a sleeper while Bayley mocks Aliyah on the floor. Iyo tags in and stretches Aliyah. Aliyah with a knee to the midsection and forearm as she tries to make the tag. Aliyah with more punches but Iyo keeps Aliyah away. Iyo sends Aliyah face first to the mat. Dakota tags in and they set for a double suplex and Aliyah does her Zack Ryder tribute by landing on her feet and hitting a double neck breaker. Raquel tags in and she sends Iyo into Dakota and then hits shoulder tackles on Dakota. Raquel with a fallaway slam to Dakota and she hits the twisting elbow drop off the turnbuckles. Aliyah tags in and Raquel with a boot to Dakota and then Raquel power bombs Aliyah onto Dakota but Iyo breaks up the cover. Raquel blocks a rana and Raquel goes for a power bomb but Iyo pulls Raquel over the top rope. Aliyah with a rollup on Dakota for a near fall.

Aliyah with a jaw breaker to Dakota followed by a springboard X Factor. Bayley puts Dakota’s foot on the ropes to force the referee to stop. Aliyah drop kicks Bayley through the ropes while Raquel backs Bayley up. Iyo with a moonsault to Raquel and Dakota with KAIropractor for the three count.

Winners: Iyo Sky and Dakota Kai (new champions)

After the match:
he new champions celebrate while Raquel consoles Aliyah.


Backstage:
Rey shows up and he says he heard what Dominik said and he did not know that he held that all inside. Rey says he would change everything if he could. He tells Dominik he does not have to face Edge. He wants a chance to make this right so they can be a family again. Rey tells Dominik to look at him. He says that Edge is like a brother to him and an uncle to Dom. When Edge is backed up into a corner, he is not going to back off. He tells Dominik if he fights Edge tonight, it will never go back to the way things were. Rhea shows up and she says that Dom isn’t Rey’s little boy any more. He is not all man now and they walk away.


Chad Gable (with Otis) vs Johnny Gargano

They lock up and Gable with a side head lock and Gargano with a head scissors. Gargano with a side head lock take down and Gable with a head scissors. Gargano goes for the leg and Gable kicks him away and then he rolls through while Gargano applies a front face lock. Gable is able to escape. They lock up and Gable with a side head lock and drop toe hold into an arm bar. Gargano with a reversal into a side head lock. Gable with an Irish whip and Gargano floats over and then hits a head scissors take down and arm drag followed by a drop kick. Gargano with a rollup into a crucifix for a near fall. Gargano with a front face lock and Gable tries to escape but Gargano holds on.

Gable with a punch and Gargano goes down. Gable with a chop in the corner and Gargano goes down. Gable with another chop. Gable with a waist lock. Gargano and Gable with standing switches and Gargano with a rolling kick to the head. Gable goes to the floor and Gargano with a drop kick through the ropes. Gargano goes to the apron and he hits a cannonball on Gable.

We go to commercial.

We are back and Gargano kicks Gable while Gable works on the leg. Gable hyper-extends the knee and we see Gable hit a dragon screw in the ropes. Gable with a spinning toe hold. Gargano kicks Gable in the leg and then Gargano kicks Gable over the top rope but Gable skins the cat. Gargano with forearms and a cross body and clothesline. Gargano with an enzuigiri. Gable sends Gargano to the apron and Gargano with a slingshot spear for a near fall. Gargano gets Gable up but Gable escapes. Gable with an ankle lock but Gargano gets into the ropes. Gable pulls Gargano up and hits a Cliffhanger DDT for a near fall.

Gable goes up top but misses a moonsault and he lands on his feet. They exchange punches and then Gable with an Ocean Cyclone suplex for a near fall. Gable goes up top and misses a diving head butt and Gargano with the GargaNo Escape. Gable escapes and goes for an ankle lock. Gargano rolls through and Gable runs into the turnbuckles. Gargano goes for a La Mistica but Gable goes for Chaos Theory and Gargano escapes. Both men with near falls on rollups. Gargano with a super kick and Gable with a forearm. Gargano with a clothesline and both men are down.

Gargano sends Gable over the top rope and Otis catches him. Gargano with a suicide dive that sends Otis into the announce table. Otis misses a clip on the leg and Gargano with a slingshot DDT for the three count.

Winner: Johnny Gargano

After the match:
Gargano with a few super kicks to Otis and then he crotch chops Otis and leaves the ring. Gargano has his back turned to the entrance and Austin Theory hits Gargano with the briefcase. Theory takes a selfie with Gargano down on the floor. Theory goes to the ring to show the photo to Otis and Gable.

We are back and Austin Theory is in the ring with a mic.

Austin asks everyone if Johnny Gargano disappointed you. Did he not walk into the unrealistic, depressing Portland sunset? Somebody had to show him how it works around here. To him, all Johnny Wrestling is is an overrated bottom feeding fish at the bottom of the food chain. Did he ruin Johnny Gargano’s big moment?

Kevin Owens interrupts and he makes his way to the ring.

Austin says he is the future. He is sick of dealing with Kevin, Tyson Fury, and Johnny Gargano. He is going to take over this industry. Kevin says we heard all of that last week, well you were trying but had issues with your jaw. We have heard this for months. You talk about how you are young and you are the future. Last week, I looked you in the eye and said you WERE the handpicked future of the company. That is not the case any more. That isn’t how it works. Him and Johnny don’t look like Austin.

Austin says no one looks like him. He says he knows why they are jealous. He has done more in the last five months than Johnny and Kevin have done in the last five years.

Kevin says statements like that show how much of a delusional jackass you are. Look at what you have accomplished. It was by being given opportunities you didn’t deserve. You won Money in the Bank in a match you weren’t in. I was given a title on a silver platter too, but that is where the similarities end. We are complete opposites and I could not be prouder of that fact. How many guys in the last two decades have come by in WWE who were just like you. Young, chiseled out of stone, and then they fizzled out? There were hundreds. How many like me and Johnny Gargano have come to WWE and made it to the level they did. People like you are a dime a dozen while people like me and Johnny are one in a million. These people need someone like him or Johnny because they are the heart of the business. You are the appendix and are completely disposable. I hope you are everything you claim to be, but I have been watching you and listening to you. I don’t think you have what it takes to be the future.

Kevin tells Austin to prove him and everyone else wrong. Do you know how to do it? You stop thinking about the moments that were handed to you and you make your moments. You put your ego at the door and you drive yourself to get better. You leave everything in the ring every time. That is how you prove him wrong. That is how you become the future and the face of WWE.

Theory flexes and he tells Kevin he will never be like him. Kevin says talking sense into him didn’t work so, . . .

Kevin slaps Theory and then they exchange punches. Owens takes Theory down and he punches Austin. They exchange punches in the corner and Owens with kicks until officials come to the ring. Theory with punches to Owens. Owens with a boot to the head and they continue to exchange punches. Theory is pulled to the floor by officials. Owens with a running splash and more punches. Theory misses with the briefcase and Owens with a kick but Theory escapes the stunner.

Theory bleeds from the nose and Owens says that is the beginning.

Raw Women’s Champion Bianca Belair walks in the back, twirling her hair.

We are back and we are told that the NXT Tag Title match will be a steel cage match, and that will be the opening match.

Bianca Belair (c) vs Sonya Deville

Sonya goes for a waist lock but Bianca with a waist lock and take down. Sonya with a standing switch. Bianca with a standing switch. Sonya with an Irish whip and Bianca floats over. Bianca with a gutbuster for a near fall. Bianca goes for a slam but Sonya escapes and hits a flying boot for a near fall. Sonya with kicks in the corner and then she chokes Bianca in the ropes. Sonya with a reverse chin lock and Bianca with a snap mare to escape. Bianca with an elbow and boot to Sonya. Bianca with a forearm from the apron followed by clotheslines and a drop kick. Bianca with a suplex and handspring moonsault for a near fall.

Sonya rolls to the floor and Bianca kicks Sonya away. Bianca flips over Sonya from the apron and Sonya with a clothesline.

We are back and Bianca with a hip toss. Sonya sends Bianca into the turnbuckles and then she kicks Bianca in the back. Sonya chokes Bianca in the ropes. Sonya kicks Bianca in the corner and snap mares Bianca. Sonya with a reverse chin lock. Bianca with a snap mare but Sonya sends Bianca to the floor and then Sonya sends Bianca into the ring post. Bianca blocks a kick from Sonya and Bianca with a kick. Bianca with a fallaway slam. Bianca goes for a handspring moonsault but Sonya moves. Sonya with a running boot for a near fall. Sonya with kicks Bianca with a spinebuster for a near fall. Sonya kicks Bianca in the head but Bianca goes for a Glam Slam but Sonya with a victory roll for a near fall. Bianca sends Sonya into the turnbuckles. Bianca puts Sonya on the turnbuckles and sets for a superplex. Sonya pushes Bianca off the turnbuckles and Sonya with a missile drop kick for a near fall. Bianca with a suplex and she rolls through. Sonya goes for a head and arm choke but Bianca backs Sonya into the corner to escape.

Bianca with a knee to the head and she flips over to escape and Bianca with KOD for the three count.

After the match:
Bayley’s music plays and she makes her way to the aisle. Bayley tells Bianca ding dong. She congratulates Bianca on her victory. She asks if Bianca was inspired by Dakota and Iyo’s victory? Bayley says she was. They did exactly what they said they would do. I said we were going to take control of this whole division. Tonight was just the beginning and Bayley cackles.

Bayley says she wants to talk about Bianca’s victory. Does beating a prize fighter make you feel better? That fed a little of your big fat ego. Let’s be truthful to all of our beautiful fans. You will not get to sleep at night until you get a match with her. Is that what you want to do? If I were you, I would be embarrassed. I haven’t wrestled in a year but I was able to pin you.

Bayley tells everyone to relax. You will have your match when the time is right.

Bianca puts the belt down and waits for Bayley.
Iyo and Dakota get on the apron and Bianca doesn’t know it. She sees what has happened and they enter the ring very slowly.

Bianca with forearms to Iyo and Bayley but Dakota hits Bianca from behind and it turns into a three on one beat down.

Asuka and Alexa Bliss come to the ring and they take care of Iyo and Dakota while Bayley kicks Bianca.

Bayley tries to get out of the ring and doesn’t realize she could have backed up to escape . . . until Bianca got back to her feet. Bayley misses a clothesline on Bianca and Bianca with a spinebuster. Bayley rolls to the floor.


Backstage:
Omos walks in the back with MVP behind him.
We go to commercial.


Omos (with Montel Vontavious Porter) vs Invictus Khash and Ryan Toombs

Omos hits both men and then slams Khash. He brings Toombs into the ring and hits a double shoulder tackle. Omos with a Cobra Clutch on Khash and then he hits Snake Eyes and a boot to Toombs. Khash is given Snake Eyes and a boot to the head. Omos choke slams Toombs and then Khash. Omos pins both men.

Winner: Omos


Backstage:
Edge is in the locker room and Rey enters. Rey asks Edge from one father to another to think about what he is going to do. He asks Edge to let him have one more chance. Edge says that you heard what he said. He is a man now and he has to pay. You can’t be the one to do it so is there anyone better to do it than him. This match will happen whether you like it or not. Edge apologizes to Rey in advance.


We take a look back at how Raw started with Seth Rollins and Matt Riddle.

Backstage:
Seth Rollins walks in the back and Kevin Patrick ambushes him.

Seth says the moment has passed and Riddle ruined it. Seth says he doesn’t want to talk about it. You cannot miss if you want to challenge the face of Raw. Bobby Lashley shows up out of nowhere and asks Seth if he thinks he is the face of Raw. He tells Seth he is not the face of Raw because he does not have the gold. He who has the gold is the face of Raw.

Seth says all of you MMA people think that fighting is the way to do it. You have no brain cells in that bullet head of yours. It isn’t the title I was thinking about earlier but I will take it off your shoulder. How about me versus you next week to see who the face of Raw really is. Lashley tells Seth they can fight about it.

Interview:
We go to an interview with Miz and Maryse from earlier this week at their home.

We see Dexter looking from outside the house through a window.

Miz says this is the only way you are getting him on Raw because this is the only place he feels safe. His children show up and then he sends them away as Maryse arrives. Miz asks Maryse if she feels comfortable leaving and Maryse asks if it is about that freak. Maryse says he will never show up because they have a gate, dogs, and guards.

We see Dexter looking in from a different window.

Miz tells the interviewer not to mention Dexter’s name. Miz says he had to have a police escort to the arena and he was given extra security but that lunatic was still able to get in and do what he did.

Miz is asked what did he do. Miz says he doesn’t want to talk about this and then he says the interview is done. They leave for an event and Miz says the guards will let you out and he tells them not to be there when they get back. They drive away and we see Dexter in the house and he is doodling something.

Dominik Mysterio walks in the back with Rhea Ripley and we go to commercial.

Dominik Mysterio (with Rhea Ripley) vs Edge

Edge runs Dominik into the corner and punches him. Edge with a head butt and Irish whip but Dominik floats over. Edge with a clothesline. Edge with forearms to the back. Edge with a slam and Dominik goes to the floor. Rhea tells Dominik what to do and he returns to the ring and Dominik escapes a slam. Edge holds on to the ropes on an O’Connor Roll. Dominik with a handspring into a clothesline. Edge drop kicks Dominik to the floor and then sends him into the ringside barrier. Edge breaks the count and Edge sends Dominik into the ringside barrier. Edge sends Dominik into the announce table. Dominik with forearms but Edge Irish whips Dominik into the ring steps. Edge kicks Dominik in the head and then sends Dominik back into the ring. Rhea clips Edge when the referee checks on Dominik.

Dominik goes to the floor and he sends Edge into the ring steps.

We go to commercial.

We are back and Dominik stomps on the injured knee. Dominik with a forearm and he drops a knee on the injured leg. Edge kicks Dominik away. Dominik does the Eddie shimmy and hits a suplex. Dominik rolls over to hit a second one. Dominik rolls over for the third one and hits it to pay tribute to his ‘father’ Eddie. Dominik goes up top and he shimmies but that delay allows Edge to crotch Dominik. Edge with an uppercut and forearm. Edge sets for a superplex but he head butts Dominik first. Edge goes for the superplex but Rhea holds on to Dominik’s leg. Dominik with a frog splash for a near fall. Dominik sets for a figure four leg lock but Edge kicks Dominik into the ring post.

Edge with a flapjack and clothesline. Edge with an Edge-O-Matic but Dominik with punches to the injured leg. Edge with an Impaler DDT. Edge sets for a spear and Dominik rolls through into a Maple Leaf. Edge powers out of the hold and gets a near fall with an inside cradle. Edge hot shots Dominik and then ties Dominik in the ropes. Edge tells Dom that he wanted this. Edge punches Dominik. The referee warns Edge and Edge doesn’t care. Edge slaps Dominik. Edge sets for a spear but Rey gets in the ring to beg for mercy. Edge pushes Rey aside and Damian Priest pulls Rey to the floor and sends Rey into the announce table.

Balor attacks Edge and the referee calls for the bell.

Winner: Edge (by disqualification)

After the match:
Edge punches Balor in the corner but Rhea hits Edge in the leg with a chair. Rhea gives Dominik the chair and Dominik hits Edge in the leg with the chair. They put the leg on the chair and Balor with a Coup de Grace onto the leg.
