'Stone Cold' Steve Austin and Triple H may have been enemies on-screen, but the Texas Rattlesnake will always be grateful to the Game for his help when a fan ambushed him in the ring.

Fans are always advised not to get into the ring unless specifically requested by a wrestler, though not everyone follows this simple rule. In 2021, Seth Rollins was attacked by a fan during an episode of Monday Night Raw, but the fan was quickly detained. The fan later explained that they had been scammed by Rollins on social media, when it was in fact someone impersonating the WWE Superstar.

One of the most well-known incidents of a fan entering the ring took place during the late 1990s during a WWE live event in Germany. During 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin's match with Triple H, a fan jumped the barricade to attack the Rattlesnake. Immediately, Triple H dove in to help his colleague and delivered an attack of his own, as did the official. On Twitter, Austin reacted to a clip of the attack, saying a wrestler never wants it to happen and appreciates what Triple H did.

For any fans who decide to jump the barricade, they are almost immediately detained by security and ejected from the arena. Often the fan may receive a ban from future events, and if they attacked a wrestler, a criminal case may be brought against them. In the Rollins situation from 2021, the fan was charged with assault according to a spokesperson for the New York Police Department.
