WWE's Seth Rollins will flex his acting chops as part of an upcoming film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

On Twitter, footage surfaced of the Monday Night Raw Superstar in costume on set for Captain America: New World Order. The film does not follow the trio of Hulk Hogan, Kevin Nash, and Scott Hall, but instead follows Sam Wilson continuing his journey as the new Captain America after replacing the retired Steve Rogers. At the San Diego Comic-Con in 2022, director Julias Onah described the film as a "paranoid thriller." Details about Rollins' role in the film is currently unknown. Captain America: New World Order is scheduled to release in May 2024.

While Captain America: New World Order will be Rollins' biggest non-WWE role, it won't be his acting debut. In 2016, Rollins played AstroTech Lopez (a nod to his real name Colby Lopez) in Sharknado: The 4th Awakens. The following year, Rollins played himself and a robot version of himself in The Jetsons & WWE: Robo-WrestleMania. Interestingly, Rollins' wife Becky Lynch filmed a post-credits for Marvel's Eternals which was later nixed.

News of Rollins' casting comes at a pivotal time in his career. Later this month, Rollins will challenge to crown the next World Heavyweight Champion at WWE Night of Champions. Rollins defeated Shinsuke Nakamura and Damian Priest in the quarter-finals and then heated Finn Balor in the semi-finals. Rollins will face SmackDown's AJ Styles in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia on May 27.
