Blake Christian has reached the pinnacle of Game Changer Wrestling by becoming the brand new GCW World Heavyweight Champion.

At the event last night, Christian cashed in his title opportunity against then-GCW World Champion Masha Slamovich. Christian had previously earned a GCW World Heavyweight Title shot by winning the Grab The Brass Ring DLC ladder match at Joey Janela's Spring Break 7 event, which took place during WrestleMania 39 weekend.

Like cash-in attempts seen in WWE, Christian waited until Slamovich was vulnerable. The Russian-born wrestler had retained the GCW World Championship against Rina Yamashita at Cage of Survival prior to Christian cashing in.

This victory marks the start of Christian's first reign as GCW World Champion, and the end of Slamovich's first reign with the gold. Slamovich had held the title since GCW Eye For an Eye where she defeated Nick Gage and her reign ends at 80 days.

Christian's title win came at the closing moments of a stacked show. GCW Cage of Survival 2 opened with Maki Itoh defeating Janai Kai. Matt Cardona and SDL defeated The Kirks but a post-match brawl that involved Nick Gage and Maki Itoh left Cardona bleeding from the shoulder. El Hijo del Vikingo defeated Ninja Mack while Jordan Oliver, Nick Wayne, and Mike Bailey defeated Jack Cartwheel, Jimmy Lloyd, and Alec Price in trios action.

Los Macizos defeated Hirata and Toru and the latter team would be attacked post-match by the GCW locker room. In our penultimate match of the night, (third to last if you include Christian's cash-in) El Desparado defeated Joey Janela.
