Griff Garrison has made his return to the ring after spending months out of action with an injury.

Prior to his return, the last fans saw of Garrison was on the November 8, 2022, episode of AEW Dark, which had been taped on October 21. On that show, Garrison and Brian Pillman Jr. came up short against Cole Karter and Q.T. Marshall. Last December, it was announced that Garrison would be undergoing surgery, but did not state at the time what the operation was for. At the time, Garrison assured fans that he would be back soon.

During the latest taping of ROH content, Garrison made his return and challenged Lee Moriarty. Unfortunately for the returning wrestler, Garrison came up short in his comeback match. This match also marks Garrison's first match for Ring of Honor since Tony Khan's purchase of the promotion in March of last year. Prior to this week, his most recent match for ROH had been in February 2020 and his most recent pay-per-view match was at ROH Final Battle Fallout in December 2019.
ROH Taping

Garrison's return to action was just part of a stacked taping of Ring of Honor content. The event opened with an appearance from Tony Khan who promised the crowd a great show. The show saw The Embassy vs Cheeseburger, Eli Isom, & Marcus Kross in a Proving Ground Match while Matt Sydal challenged Samoa Joe for the Ring of Honor World Television Championship.

Kiera Hogan made it clear that she is coming for Athena's ROH World Women's Championship. Athena would face Trish Adora in a Proving Ground Match. NJPW Strong Women's Champion Willow Nightingale had her second-ever title defense when she put the title on the line against Rachael Ellering.
