NJPW star Will Ospreay is ready for his upcoming bout against arch-rival Kenny Omega.

The United Empire leader's in-ring style has taken a toll on his body. The high-risk moves, and gradual change in his physique have led to many injuries. His shoulder had been bothering him when he potentially injured his shoulder during New Japan Cup matchup against Mark Davis. However, that couldn't keep Ospreay away from performing at the highest order.

Omega and Ospreay have been engaged in a heated feud for a number of months. The rivalry started with the two taking shots at each other on social media and in interviews.

They clashed during the AEW World Trios Championship Tournament in 2022 before they finally faced off in a singles match at NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 17. There, Omega beat Ospreay to win the IWGP United States Heavyweight Championship.

Ospreay went on to earn a rematch with Kenny Omega by defeating Lance Archer at NJPW Dominion. Ospreay will get another shot at Omega at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door 2 on June 25.

Will Ospreay has now assured his fans that his shoulder, which had been giving him problems in the past, will not be an issue when he faces 'The Cleaner.'

Ahead of the highly-anticipated clash, Ospreay spoke to Knotfest and provided an update on his shoulder. He said:

“[My shoulder is] as good as it physically can be, the weight difference was for sure a factor facing Lance [Archer]. The sheer mass of the guy and it not being fully healed was extremely difficult to be able to hit any type of power moves, so had to go for strikes instead."

On the pressure leading into the match, the English superstar said:

"There is way more pressure as everyone will always want to be able to top it. This time, I’m more motivated to get the right results and have answers to his offense.”

It is always a treat to watch Will Ospreay and Kenny Omega compete against each other. The highly-anticipated match is expected to be no different. We will have to wait and see which star stands tall.
