Warning: This article contains spoilers for the July 4 episode of NXT.

The future of WWE stars Brutus and Julius Creed is shrouded in uncertainty as they face potential changes in their careers within the company.

The duo competed against The Dyad on the July 4 episode of WWE NXT, with the stipulation that the losing team would have to leave NXT.

As the July 4 episode had been pre-taped on June 27, the outcome of the match had already been widely reported. The Creed Brothers were on the losing end, raising questions about their next steps in the company.

Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter has shed some light on the situation, particularly regarding a possible main roster call-up for the Creed Brothers. Meltzer noted that while it seems likely they will be called up, the specifics are being kept under wraps for the time being. There are conflicting reports circulating within WWE, with some individuals being told it's all part of an angle, while others remain uncertain about the true direction for the talented team.

Meltzer also shared that we may soon receive clarity on the Creed Brothers' future in WWE.

“In what was a big surprise, the Dyad beat The Creeds in a loser leaves town match on the NXT show taped on 6/27 that airs on 7/4. After The Creeds lost, they left them in the ring and the fans chanted “Thank You Creeds,” so the fans all assumed they were being brought to the main roster. That would be the impression everyone would have although internally they are keeping it quiet for the next week or so and some people directly involved have been told it’s all an angle, but that also could be people being told that to keep it from getting out. But I was told it would be clear in about ten days or two weeks what the real story is, but to the fans live, they certainly treated it like they were leaving.”

Previously, speculation arose that the Losers Leave NXT match was a means to write off The Dyad from television, given Jagger Reid and Rip Fowler's reported release requests from WWE. However, it appears that the match outcome had a different purpose altogether.

The Creed Brothers have a decorated history in NXT, with a reign as NXT Tag Team Champions from June to September 2022 and a victory in the 2022 Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic tournament.
