The wrestling community is mourning the loss of former WWE talent Darren "Droz" Drozdov, who died on June 30 from natural causes at age 54.

Drozdov competed for WWE from 1998 to Oct 5, 1999, when his tragic accident in a match with D'Lo Brown made him a quadriplegic. Despite his disability, Drozdov showed a positive attitude toward life and appeared at wrestling-related events like Meet and Greets.

WWE fans may have been introduced to "Droz" when he appeared in the Beyond The Mat documentary for the company. However, he was also a former Defensive Lineman for the Denver Broncos in 1993.

He was famously called into a room with WWE Chairman Vince McMahon and showed his talent for being able to puke in an instant. He was also involved in a storyline where he tagged with Road Warrior Animal as a member of The Legion of Doom while Hawk was dealing with alcohol abuse. Fans didn't well receive the storyline, and WWE ultimately moved on from "Droz's" involvement with LOD.

His career ended tragically when he faced Brown at a Sunday Night Heat taping on Oct. 5, 1999. Brown tried to go for a powerbomb, but "Droz" landed on his neck, which resulted in his disability. Brown has been remorseful about the incident to this day, and "Droz" has also found peace with his situation during his life.

The last televised appearance for "Droz" was a Dark Side of The Ring episode about Brawl For All and The Road Warriors in 2020. His family shared a statement about his passing which ESPN Senior NFL Insider Adam Schefter released on Twitter.

The wrestling community has shared their condolences to the Drozdov family and honored him on social media. The WWE has also posted a tweet to pay respect to Drozdov.
