Business is indeed booming for WWE, with the company's merchandise sales reaching a record high that surpasses any other era.

WWE is certainly on a roll at this time, with The Bloodline angle continuing to be a hit with audiences, and several shows breaking records. Last week's SmackDown broke the records for the highest gate for any MSG event, as well as the highest earnings for a SmackDown taping based in North America. WWE Money in the Bank 2023 broke the record for the highest gate of any arena event in the company's history, while the upcoming Summerslam event broke the record for the most day-one ticket sales outside of WrestleMania.

It's not just WWE events which are proving to be a hit with audiences. As Dave Meltzer explained on Wrestling Observer Radio, merchandise sales have never been higher, not even during the Attitude Era, a time considered by many to be WWE's peak in popularity.

"Merchandise has never been higher, ever. Not in the Attitude Era, not in the Hulk Hogan era. Never as high as it is now. Roman is the catalyst. Cody Rhodes is doing great on Raw, no doubt about it. Roman….he’s been great since he went heel, and it’s been building and everything like that, but even when you look back six months ago, it’s gone way up since six months ago.”

WWE has multiple events which will likely shift tons of merchandise coming up, including NXT Great American Bash on July 30. One week later, WWE's main roster will host Summerslam on August 5, in Detroit.
