The July 11 episode of NXT featuring the appearance of the main roster faction, The Judgement Day(Rhea Ripley, Damian Priest, Finn Balor & Dominik Mysterio), averaged a 671,000 viewership and a 0.20 rating (P18-49). The viewership and rating were up from last week's episode, which had a loser leave NXT bout and debut the NXT Underground match.

On the July 4 episode, NXT Champion Carmelo Hayes and Trick Williams challenged The Judgement Day to come to NXT for the recent show. The main roster faction accepted the challenge, and Priest and Balor faced Hayes and Williams in the main event of the July 11 episode. While the NXT team gave Priest and Balor all they could handle, Mysterio and Ripley interfered to help their faction members win the match.


It's worth noting that Balor pinned the NXT Champion after landing the Coup De Grace. The pinfall was the second time Balor had pinned Hayes in a match. The two defeats to the NXT star by Balor could lead to another singles match between the two with the NXT Championship on the line. WWE has decided to have the main roster involved in storylines with the developmental brand, and it's possible fans can see Hayes and the Monday Night Raw talent compete for NXT gold.

While the matchup could happen, Ilja Dragunov defeated Bron Breakker as the number one contender for the NXT Championship at NXT Great American Bash on July 30.

The show was a success, as Wrestlenomics reports that it had 671,000 viewership, an increase from last week which was 508,000.

NXT has already promoted what fans should look forward to seeing next week. The July 11 episode had Mysterio challenge NXT North American Champion Wes Lee for next week, and Lee accepted it. WWE shared that the match was official, as Mysterio will try to win his first NXT title.

The title match could bring intrigue to next week's episode, as Mysterio has been one of the featured talents on Monday Night Raw. While Lee should be favored to win, it's always a possibility the main roster talent could steal a victory. Regardless, it could be a great high-flying matchup that can showcase the talents of both Mysterio and Lee.
