Nick Aldis' latest tenure with IMPACT Wrestling has come to an end following his defeat at Slammiversary.

In December of last year, Aldis announced that he would be leaving the NWA, citing issues with Billy Corgan and the direction of the company for his exit. At Rebellion in April of this year, Aldis returned to IMPACT on what was reported at the time as a short-term deal.

Upon his return to IMPACT, Aldis wasted no time in declaring his intentions to become IMPACT World Champion. At last week's Slammiversary event, Aldis failed to dethrone Alex Shelley to capture the title. PW Insider reports that Aldis has since exited the promotion and is a free agent again.

This marks the end of Aldis' third stint with IMPACT, after previously working with the company from 2008 to 2015, and later returning in 2017. In addition to being a former TNA World Champion, Aldis is a two-time TNA World Tag Team Champion, having held the gold with Doug Williams and Samoa Joe.

Prior to signing with IMPACT earlier this year, there had been talks of Aldis possibly joining WWE. While Triple H is reportedly open to Aldis joining the promotion, Bruce Prichard reportedly has issues with the British wrestler stemming from their time working together in Impact.

Aldis isn't the only wrestler finishing with IMPACT Wrestling this week. During Slammiversary, Zicky Dice lost a 'Loser Leaves IMPACT' match to Johnny Swinger, which PW Insider has confirmed was legitimate. Dice had been with IMPACT since 2021.
