LA Knight may not have competed on this week's episode of WWE SmackDown, but the popular Superstar was a hit on the show.

This week's SmackDown saw WWE continue on the road to Summerslam, with Jey Uso continuing to lay claim to a shot at the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship. In the main event, Asuka was able to escape the show with the WWE Women's Universal Championship after her title match with Bianca Belair ended in a DQ. The Empress was also able to avoid a cash-in attempt by Miss. Money in the Bank IYO SKY.

LA Knight didn't get the chance to compete but he did make his presence felt on the show. In his two-minute segment, Knight spoke about the United States Championship Invitational and said it is just a matter of time before he holds the title currently in the possession of Austin Theory.

As pointed out by Wrestle Ops on Twitter, Knight’s promo is approaching 4 million views across WWE’s social media pages in under 24 hours. Knight's work on this week's SmackDown has exceeded the content views of any other segment or match from the broadcast.

While Knight didn't compete this week, he will be in action on next week's SmackDown. During this week's SmackDown, Santos Escobar advanced in the U.S. Title Invitational with a win over Butch, Grayson Waller, and AJ Styles.

Next week's show will see Knight face Cameron Grimes, Rey Mysterio, and Sheamus. The winners will face off on the following SmackDown, with the winner of that match earning a title match against Austin Theory.
