Vince McMahon was so motivated to re-sign Cody Rhodes last year that he personally flew to Rhodes' home in Georgia in hopes of luring him back to WWE.

On Monday, WWE released the first official trailer for the upcoming "American Nightmare: Becoming Cody Rhodes" peacock documentary.

The trailer provides just a glimpse of what we can expect from the highly-anticipated doc, but we've already learned some interesting new information.

WWE Superstar Kevin Owens was interviewed for the project and revealed the news of McMahon taking matters into his own hands and flying to Atlanta in order to get the second generation Superstar to sign on the dotted line.

Rhodes made his grand return to WWE at WrestleMania 38. He was revealed to be Vince McMahon's hand-picked mystery opponent for Rollins. McMahon's visit and his involvement in Cody's return storyline demonstrate his faith in the American Nightmare.

Cody Rhodes won the 2023 Royal Rumble and went on to main event WrestleMania 39 against Roman Reigns. He left Los Angeles without the WWE Championship and has yet to "finish the story" and achieve what his father never did.

American Nightmare: Becoming Cody Rhodes premieres Monday, July 31 on Peacock.
