The NJPW Strong Women's Championship will be on the line at the upcoming IMPACTxNJPW: Multiverse United 2 event in triple-threat action.
IMPACTxNJPW: Multiverse United 2 will take place this weekend, August 20, 2023, from the 2300 Arena in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The venue is known among fans for being the home of several classic ECW events. Despite the name, IMPACTxNJPW: Multiverse United 2 will be the third event under the Multiverse chronology.
At an IMPACT on AXS TV taping, Deonna Purrazzo laid out the challenge to NJPW Strong Women's Champion Giulia but was interrupted by Gisele Shaw, who issued her own challenge for the title.
In response, Giulia accepted the challenges from both women, and the match has now been made official.
Giulia has held the NJPW Strong Women's Championship for over a month now, dethroning inaugural champion Willow Nightingale on July 5. The championship. The championship was announced in April of this year, and Nightingale's win came about because of an injury suffered by Mercedes Mone.
