Angry Kurt Angle Says The Bloodline is Nearly Finished - Paul Heyman Hits Back

Paul Heyman has fired back at Kurt Angle after the WWE Hall of Famer's comments that The Bloodline is nearly done.

The Bloodline has been a hit with fans ever since Roman Reigns' heel turn in 2020 upon capturing the WWE Universal Championship. In the three years since then, the storyline has undergone several twists, such as the exit of Sami Zayn, the Bloodline Civil War, and Jimmy Uso's betrayal of his brother Jey at SummerSlam earlier this month.

During the post-SummerSlam press conference, Paul Heyman was asked about the momentum of The Bloodline, and assured viewers that there was plenty left. Heyman said that the storyline is in its third inning and fans should wait to see what they have planned for the fourth.

Speaking on his podcast recently, Angle refuted the idea, saying that the Bloodline storyline is much closer to its end than Heyman wishes to admit, and borrowed Paul's baseball analogy to say they're in the eighth inning. Saying that Heyman is "full of sh*t," Angle said that WWE is "making up sh*t now" and are "stressed" to figure out what to do next. Heyman responded with a fiery tweet against the Olympian.

While Heyman isn't pleased with Angle's comment, there is always the question as to what's next for The Bloodline. Jimmy Uso's betrayal at SummerSlam has received a somewhat mixed response, with some arguing that it is WWE's 'Jumping the Shark' moment: when something random is done just for the sake of keeping a story going. On this week's SmackDown, Jey Uso 'quit' WWE, though, despite WWE's efforts to make it seem legitimate, few think he'll be gone for long.

It has been suspected that the two brothers will face off at Payback, possibly with a Hall of Fame official. While not confirmed, many believe Reigns will defend his Undisputed WWE Universal Championship against Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania 40.
