Kamille's reign as NWA Women's Champion may have come to an end, but the now former champion seems more than ready to face whatever lay ahead for her.
Following a successful title defense against Natalia Markova on night one of NWA 75, Kamille turned her attention to the winner of the Burke Invitational Gauntlet, Kenzie Paige, whom she faced on night two.
After a lengthy reign as champion, Kamille seemed poised to retain her title yet again, but in a surprise turn of events, it was Paige who emerged victorious after dodging a spear, which sent "The Brickhouse" crashing into an exposed turnbuckle. With Kamille's momentum staggered, Paige seized the opportunity to nail her with a cutter to gain the pinfall. As a result, Kenzie Paige was crowned as the new NWA World Women's Champion.
On the heels of Paige's victory, Kamille leaves behind an 813-day reign, which secures her position as the fifth longest reigning NWA Women's Champion, in terms of combined days, in history.
Kamille's Reaction
Despite her loss, Kamille appears to be in good spirits. In a new Twitter post, Kamille noted that she "passed the torch" to Kenzie Paige, whom she dubs as "the next big thing."
"Kenzie you will be a wonderful champion, you’ve earned this. Now go out and show the world," Kamille wrote. "My work here has been done."
With Kamille now unseated as the NWA Women's Champion, she appears to be pondering what her next moves might be.
"What's next?" she asked.
While Kamille's future remains uncertain, one thing is for sure -- Kamille will forever be remembered as one of the most dominant champions of the modern era.
