They stand across from each other as the bell rings to start the match. Trish avoids Becky and goes for the door but Becky stops Trish. Trish avoids a Manhandle Slam and then she goes for the ropes to climb. Becky stops her and Trish with a punch. Becky with forearms and she sends Trish into the turnbuckles. Becky sends Trish into the turnbuckles and chops her. Becky blocks a kick and hits an exploder or two. Becky with a third exploder. Becky tries to send Trish into the cage but Trish blocks it. Becky avoids being sent into the cage. Trish sends Becky into the mat and she kicks Becky. Trish tries to climb the cage and Becky joins her on the top rope. Becky with punches and she knocks Trish off the ropes. Trish pulls Becky off the turnbuckles and Trish sends Becky face first into the cage. Trish sends Becky into the cage a few more times.

Trish stretches Becky in the ropes and Trish kicks Becky into the cage. Trish pushes Becky's face against the cage. Becky with forearms but Trish with a spinebuster for a near fall. Becky stops Trish from going to the door and Becky with a rollup for a near fall. Trish gets a near fall. Trish sends Becky into the cage one more time. Trish fish hooks Becky and sends her into the cage again. Trish pats herself on the back before returning to Becky. Trish with a kick. Trish slams Becky's face into the mat. Trish chokes Becky in the ropes. Becky sends Trish into the cage a few times and then she lawn darts Trish into the cage a few times. Becky gets a near fall. Becky goes for DisArmHer but Trish blocks it from being properly applied. Trish moves closer to the door and then she sends Becky into the cage a few times. Trish with a matrix but Becky with a leg drop when Trish holds on to the bridge too long.

Becky with a forearm and Trish fires back. They go back and forth but Becky with a European uppercut and back heel kick. Becky sends Trish into the cage. Trish and Becky send each other into the cage. Becky sends Trish many times into the cage. Becky with a springboard side kick and she sends the back of Trish's head into the cage. Becky with a guillotine leg drop off the ropes for a near fall. Becky with a running forearm and kicks to Trish in the corner. Trish pushes Becky into the cage and Trish goes for the handstand rana but Becky blocks it. Trish pulls herself up and they exchange forearms. Trish climbs over Becky and gets to the top of the cage. Trish kicks Becky and sends her to the mat. Becky grabs Trish off the top of the cage and gets Trish on her shoulders and then hits a power bomb for a near fall.

Trish with elbows to block a Manhandle Slam. Trish with a kick and she hits Widow's Peak for a near fall. Trish slams Becky's head into the mat many times. Trish sets for Stratusfaction but Becky escapes and hits a Twist of Fate for a near fall. Becky's knee gives out and Trish hits Stratusfaction for a near fall. Trish with a boot to the midsection. Trish climbs the cage and Becky stops her. Trish gets to the top and Becky grabs Trish to pull her back in. Trish with a forearm on the ropes while Becky punches Trish. Becky goes for a Manhandle Slam off the top rope but Trish with an elbow and kick. Trish with a bulldog off the turnbuckles for a near fall. Trish climbs the cage and gets on top. Becky slams Trish's face into the top of the cage and Becky gets up top. Trish slams Becky's face onto the top fo the cage. They exchange punches.

Becky is knocked back into the cage and is sent to the mat. Trish gets over and starts to go down but Becky pulls Trish back up to the top of the cage. Trish punches Becky and Becky gets Trish on top of the cage. Becky punches Trish and Trish is caught in the top of the cage and hangs from the top of the cage. Becky pulls Trish to a vertical position. Trish gets free and Becky sets for a superplex and hits it. Becky gets a near fall. Becky starts to climb the cage but Trish crawls to the door. Becky goes back to stop Trish but Zoey pulls Trish. Becky and Zoey play tug of war with Trish and Becky pulls Trish back in and Zoey slams the door into Becky's face but Trish gets a near fall with a rollup. Becky avoids a Chick Kick and Becky with a Manhandle Slam but Zoey breaks up the cover. Zoey pulls Trish to the door but Becky closes it.

Becky and Zoey exchange punches and Zoey with a clothesline. Trish climbs the cage and Becky gives Zoey a Manhandle Slam. Becky pulls Trish back into the cage. Becky sends Trish's head into the cage and hits a Super Manhandle Slam for the three count.

Winner: Becky Lynch

After the match:
Zoey helps Trish up but Trish wants nothing to do with Zoey. Trish slaps Zoey and tells her to get out of the cage. Zoey closes the cage door. Zoey gives Trish Z360. Zpey then takes her shirt off and throwing it down on Trish.


It is time for the host of tonight's show, John Cena, to make his way to the ring.

John welcomes everyone to Payback. He says the opening match was awesome. He says he has done a lot in his twenty years, but he has never been a host. He says he wasn't going to pass up being here tonight. His job as the host is to make tonight special. There is no better way than to be the "Special" Guest Referee for a match he had his eye on for a while. LA Knight and the Miz.

Miz makes his way to the ring.

Miz says he would expect this from LA Knight, but not you John. Pandering to this audience? You are John Cena and they call you the Greatest of All Time. As a host, you suck.

Cena says this is his first time as a host and you have a lot of experience so he asks Miz for advice.

Miz says you don't put yourself into his match as a referee.

John says that was his one idea and he asks for other advice.

Miz says that when you are asked to be a MerMan in the Barbie movie, you say no.

John says he does not like Miz but he respects him. He wants this to be special so he asks Miz for advice.

Miz mentions his history as a host. You have to be more involved. Miz says when he was the host of Wrestlemania, he was in two matches. Miz asks John about what he is wearing. Miz says he was wearing a $10,000 suit but John is dressing like a Teletubbie when he is almost 50 years old. He tells John to be involved.

John says he will be the guest referee in Miz's match. Miz says no.

Miz says John doesn't have a referee shirt and John pulls one out. John says he guesses he is the special guest referee for Miz's match. Miz says no and Cena says YEAH. They go back and forth.

Miz vs LA Knight

The bell rings and Miz goes to the floor to avoid a charging Knight. Knight holds the ropes open for Miz. Miz says he has had enough and he starts to walk to the back. Knight goes after Miz and Miz turns around and misses a clothesline. Knight with punches and he takes Miz down and connects with a series of punches. Miz with punches and a back elbow. They exchange punches but Knight gets the advantage. Knight with a suplex and he puts Knight on the turnbuckles. Knight sets for a superplex but Miz blocks it and he drops Knight face first onto the mat. Miz with a double sledge off the turnbuckles and he kicks Knight. Miz with a chop. Knight with a power slam and punches. Knight goes for a suplex but Miz escapes and goes for a Skull Crushing Finale. Knight escapes and goes for a BFT but Miz escapes and goes to the floor. Knight with a baseball slide and he sends Miz into the ring steps.

Knight sends Miz into the announce table many times. Knight goes into the ring to break the count but when he goes back ot the floor, Miz sends Knight into the announce table. Miz sends Knight into the ringside barrier a few times. Miz gets back into the ring and then returns to the floor. Miz charges at Knight and Knight with a back body drop to send Miz into the time keeper's area. Knight with a springboard clothesline off the ringside barrier to Miz. Miz with a punch and kick to the midsection. Miz kicks and chokes Knight in the corner. Cena pulls Miz out of the corner and warns Miz. Knight with a clothesline and kicks in the corner. Cena pulls Knight out of the corner and Knight returns to the choke. Cena pulls Knight forcibly out of the corner as he gets close to five. Knight has some words for Cena and Miz hits Knight from behind.

Miz chokes Knight in the ropes and rakes at the face. Knight with a boot to Miz and Miz puts Knight in the ropes and hits a hanging Codebreaker. Miz with a reverse chin lock. Knight with an Irish whip and Miz sends Knight to the apron. Miz pulls Knight off the apron to the floor. Miz sends Knight into the ring. Miz with kicks to the chest and then to the back. Knight tries to get back to his feet but Miz kicks Knight. Knight avoids a round kick and Knight with a belly-to-back suplex set up into a uranage. Knight with punches and a clothesline. Knight with an Irish whip and neck breaker. Knight goes to the turnbuckles for a bulldog and a kick to the head for a near fall. Knight kicks Miz in the corner and hits a running hip into the corner. Knight gets Miz up but Miz gets to his feet. Knight backs Miz into the corner to escape a Skull Crushing Finale. Miz with a sunset fllip but Knight rolls through. Miz with two DDTs for a near fall.

Miz goes for a Skull Crushing Finale and Knight with a victory roll for a near fall. Miz misses the clothesline into the ropes and Knight with a hanging twisting DDT for a near fall. Miz with a jaw breaker and Miz with a rollup and his hand on the ropes but Cena sees it and kicks Miz's hand. Miz and Cena argue. Knight with a kick and Miz avoids BFT. Knight almost punches Cena and stops short. Miz with a Skull Crushing Finale for a near fall. Miz sets for a Five Knuckle Shuffle but Knight with a power slam. Knight with the YEAHple's Elbow and BFT for the three count.

Winner: LA Knight

After the match:
Knight has some words for Cena and Ccena offers his hand for a signb of respect. Knight shakes his hand and then Cena raises Knight's hand.

Rey Mysterio (c) vs Austin Theory

Theory runs Rey into the corner and connects with shoulders and a punch. Rey kicks Theory in the head a few times but Theory with a kick and Irish whip. Theory misses a splash into the corner and Rey with punches on the turnbuckles. Theory with an Irish whip and Rey floats over but Theory catches him. Theory holds on to the ropes on an O'Connor Roll attempt and then Theory with a clothesline. Theory with an Irish whip and clothesline to the apron. Theory with a slingshot boot and a fisherman's suplex for a near fall. Theory picks up Rey and hits another fisherman's suplex. Theory signals that it is time for a third suplex and Rey counters with an inside cradle for a near fall. Theory with a back elbow and he gets a near fall. Theory gets another near fall. Theory with a reverse chin lock. Rey gets back to his feet and Rey with elbows. Theory with a double thrust to the throat and Rey falls into the ropes. Theory chokes Rey.

Theory with a punch and a hard Irish whip that sends Rey sternum first into the turnbuckles. Theory with punches and then he puts Rey on the turnbuckles. Theory with punches to the head. Theory goes for the mask and he gets it unbuckled but Rey with elbows to stop Theory. Rey with an elbow to send Theory to the mat. Rey with a moonsault and both men are down. Rey with punches and a satellite head scissors that sends Theory to the floor. Rey goes for a sliding splash to the floor but Theory gets up and Rey turns it into a tornado DDT on the floor. Rey with a springboard seated splash for a near fall. Rey with forearms and a springboard head scissors take down. Theory is sent into the ropes but Theory escapes the 619. Rey is caught by Theory when he tries to float over. Theory hits Three Seconds Around the World for a near fall.

Theory gets Rey on his shoulders but Rey escapes. Rey with an enzuigiri and Theory goes to the apron. Theory with a shoulder and a slingshot rolling drop kick. Rey bounces off the ropes and hits a drop kick of his own. Theory with punches and Rey with kicks. Theory with knees to Rey. Rey sends Theory into the ropes and hits a 619. Theory gets his knees up on the springboard splash. Theory goes for A Town Down and Rey with a victory roll for the three count.

Winner: Rey Mysterio (Retains championship)

Backstage:
Cathy Kelley is in the back with Becky Lynch. She asks Becky what is next. Tiffany Stratton shows up and congratulates Becky and she says she feels they got off on the wrong foot. Tiffany says she forgot that Becky was never NXT champion and she wanted to apologize for saying that she was a former champion. Becky says that she will be watching Tiffany's title match on Tuesday night.

Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn versus The Judgment Day

All four men square up and exchange punches. They go to the floor. Owens and Priest exchange forearms. Sami and Finn exchange punches. Owens with an uppercut to Priest. Finn tries to send Sami into the ringside barrier and Sami blocks it and sends Finn into the ringside barrier. Sami throws chairs into the ring. Finn hits Sami with a kendo stick. Finn pulls out more kendo sticks and a bucket with Terrible Towels. Finn stomps on the towels. Kevin with a clothesline to Finn. Kevin sends Finn into the announce table and he hits Finn with the kendo stick. Priest with a Northern Lariat to Owens followed by a punch. Priest and Finn with punches but Sami with a flip dive onto Finn and Priest. Kevin and Sami go under the ring to get trash cans. Kevin hits Priest and then Sami hits Finn. Kevin and Sami both hit Priest with the trash cans.

Kevin reveals a Terry Funk shirt and he puts the trash can on Finn. Sami and Kevin take swings with the kendo sticks. Sami and Kevin look around and they get a table from under the ring. They set it up on the floor. Kevin gets a trash can and Kevin is kicked by Priest. Priest hits Kevin and Sami with the trash can. Priest punches Kevin but Kevin kicks and punches Priest. Finn hits Sami in the ribs with a chair. Finn gets a chair and goes into the ring. Finn hits Kevin in the ribs with the chair. Priest holds Kevin and Finn hits him with the trash can. Priest and Finn punch and kick Sami in the corner. Finn kicks Sami to the floor and then connects with an elbow to the bridge of the nose. Priest throws more chairs into the ring while Finn punches Sami on the announce table. Priest misses a chair shot and hits the turnbuckles when Kevin moves.

Kevin punches and kicks Priest. Kevin hits Priest with a chair but Finn hits Kevin with a chair a few times. Sami hits Finn with the chair in the midsection and then to the back a few times. Sami sends Finn to the floor. Finn and Priest go into the crowd and Kevin and Sami follow. Kevin punches Priest and Finn sends Finn into storage cases. Dominik Mysterio attacks Kevin and Sami. They send Kevin and Sami over the dasher boards. Finn, Damian, and Dominik celebrate their performance so far but Kevin and Sami show up with Lemieux and Crosby sweaters. They hit Priest and Finn with hockey sticks. Dom takes Kevin's stick and then Kevin and Sami drop the gloves and they punch Dom and Dom goes to the back. Kevin hits Priest and Finn with the sticks while Kevin is bleeding. Finn with elbows to Sami and Priest holds Sami for Finn. Finn runs into a boot from Sami and Kevin send Priest into the ring steps. Sami with a Blue Thunder Bomb on the chairs for a near fall.

Kevin and Sami set up chairs in the center of the ring but Priest hits Kevin and Sami with the hockey stick. Priest with a Broken Arrow to Sami on the chairs. Priest gets a near fall. Priest sends Sami to the floor and Balor kicks Kevin while Kevin wants more. Priest holds Kevin and Finn with a baseball slide. Kevin punches Priest but Priest hits Kevin with the trash can. Priest clotheslines Kevin over the ringside barrier into the crowd. Priest and Finn attack Kevin as they go up the aisle. Kevin fights back and punches Finn. Priest hits Kevin from behind. Sami finds them and he attacks Priest from behind. They fight to the Kickoff Show set and Finn punches Kevin. Sami sends Finn into the table and then Sami comes off with a swanton onto Finn and Priest. Dom punches Sami and he kicks him. Kevin punches Dom and sends him into a production case.

Kevin cleans off a table. Kevin punches Dom and he falls onto the table. Kevin climbs to the seating area and he gets on the railing for a swanton onto Dom. Sami with an exploder into the turnbuckles on Finn. Sami sets for a Helluva Kick but Priest throws a trash can at Sami and Finn gets a near fall. Priest and Finn discuss what to do next. Priest sets for a Razor's Edge and Sami gets to his feet and he crotches Balor. Sami with an exploder to Priest into the turnbuckles. Sami with a forearm to knock Finn off the apron through the table. Sami sets for the Helluva Kick but Priest grabs Sami by the throat. Kevin with a stunner to Priest. Sami with a Helluva Kick to Priest but JD pulls Sami out of the ring. Kevin with a clothesline to JD and he punches him. Kevin power bombs JD onto the announce table. Rhea runs Kevin through the ringside barrier.

Finn and Sami are in the ring and both struggle to get to their feet. Finn with sling blade and then he hits the running drop kick that sends Sami into the turnbuckles. Finn goes up top and misses Coup de Grace. Sami with an exploder into the turnbuckles followed by a Helluva Kick but Dom hits Sami with the briefcase. Finn gets the three count.

The Grayson Waller Effect with guest Cody Rhodes

Grayson says it is fitting that this is happening here because you have something in common with his guest. You can never finish a story. He brings out his guest, Cody Rhodes.

Cody asks Pittsburgh, but Waller cuts him off. He says no one cares what Pittsburgh wants to talk about. Waller says he is being honest. All people care about is what he wants to talk about. Waller says he wants to talk about Cody's big announcement. He says he heard the whispers and rumbles. Cody has had so many ups and so many downs. Waller says he appreciates Cody begging to be on his show because Cody needs the Grayson Waller rub. He tells Cody this is the start of something huge . . . kid.

Cody says Waller is a newly minted graduate from hip toss class. You are probably familiar with shows like this and Cody runs through a litany of shows. You understand the precedent. Are you going to say something that gets under his skin? I take off my tie and hit you as we knock over these Hooter's Trees. Then I give you a CrossRhodes.

Waller says he is not going to knock over the beautiful trees.

Cody says he asked to be on this show and for this massive platform. He thanks Waller for the rub and he wants to give Waller a big scoop. Cody asks if Waller watches Raw and NXT. He asks Waller if he watches Smackdown and Waller says he watches his stuff. Cody says Smackdown is intriguing. He says he saw a wrong that needed to be righted. Whatever political stroke he had, he cashed them in. He says he hopes he does not regret what he saw. He welcomes the newest member of Raw. . . Jey Uso.

Jey and Cody nod at each other and Jey goes into the ring and the crowd is happy with what they are seeing.

Waller sarcastically says welcome back Jey and mentions he has been gone for two weeks. He says he wishes he had some questions and he asks Jey what does it feel like to be on Raw. He points out that Jey has been a twin his entire life and surrounded by the Bloodline. As successful you have been in a tag team, as an individual, you have accomplished nothing. Do you think you are going to be a success.

Jey with a super kick to Waller. Jey then parties with the crowd as Rhodes looks on.


Women’s Championship
Rhea Ripley (c) vs Raquel Rodriguez

They lock up and Rhea backs Raquel into the corner but Raquel goes to a stalemate. Rhea pushes Raquel and Raquel pushes back. Rhea with a side head lock. Rhea holds on when Raquel sends her off the ropes. Rhea goes for a shoulder tackle but Raquel stays on her feet. Raquel goes for a shoulder tackle and Rhea stays on her feet. They have words for each other and Rhea misses a punch but she grabs Raquel by the hair. Raquel gets Rhea up but Rhea gets to her feet and Raquel with a shoulder tackle. Rhea goes to the floor. Raquel pulls Rhea back onto the apron but Rhea drops Raquel on the top rope. Raquel with a knee to the midsection and she punches Rhea in the corner. Rhea with a kick and Raquel blocks an Irish whip. Rhea with a short arm clothesline and Raquel does not budge. Rhea tries again with the same result.

Rhea tries again and Raquel with a clothesline that misses but Raquel with a Northern Lariat. Rhea escapes a slam attempt and Rhea with a leg sweep. Raquel kicks Rhea away and Rhea with a drop kick. Rhea punches Raquel. Rhea with a knee to the midsection. Rhea sends Raquel into the turnbuckles and chokes her in the turnbuckles. Rhea kicks Raquel in the midsection and follows with a forearm to the back. Rhea poses and then she works on the back. Raquel with elbows to Rhea while Rhea has some words for her. Rhea gets a near fall. Rhea kicks Raquel in the ribs. Rhea with a snap mare and kick to the back. Rhea with a seated abdominal stretch. Rhea blocks hip toss attempts by Raquel and she knees Raquel and applies a front face lock. Raquel sends Rhea face first to the mat. Rhea sends Raquel into the ropes and she kicks the rope while Raquel leans on it. Rhea with kicks to Raquel.

Raquel with punches to the midsection. Rhea with a drop kick followed by forearms and punches. Rhea with a chop and forearm to the back of the head. Rhea shows Raquel the blood from her nose. Raquel grabs Rhea by the throat and Rhea escapes but Raquel with clotheslines and a Northern Lariat. Raquel with a fallaway slam. Raquel with a splash into the corner. Raquel goes to the turnbuckles but Rhea trips her and Raquel hangs from the ropes. Rhea kicks Raquel in the back and then kicks Raquel in the midsection. Rhea goes to the apron and then to the turnbuckles. Rhea with a head butt or three and Raquel hangs from the turnbuckles. Raquel kicks Rhea off the turnbuckles. Raquel with a forearm to the back and she hits a delayed vertical suplex. Raquel goes to the turnbuckles with a twisting double jump twisting elbow drop for a near fall.

Raquel sets for a Tejana Bomb but Rhea escapes. Rhea with a head butt and a face buster out of a belly-to-back suplex. Rhea with a running knee for a near fall. Rhea sets for RipTide but Raquel escapes. Raquel sets for a power bomb but Rhea escapes and hits the ropes. Raquel gets a near fall. Raquel runs Rhea into the turnbuckles and connects with shoulders. Raquel with a forearm and she sets for a superplex. Rhea with a head butt but Rhea gets caught in the ropes. Rhea clips Raquel. Rhea sets for the Prism Lock and applies it. Rhea punches the leg to add more damage. Raquel counters into an inside cradle for a near fall. Raquel with a power slam and both are down. Raquel slaps Rhea and Rhea punches back. They exchange punches and Raquel with a boot that sends Rhea to the floor. Raquel goes to the apron and Rhea clips her. Raquel swings Rhea into the ringside barrier.

Raquel picks up Rhea and lawn darts her into the ring post. Dom Mysterio makes his way to the ring and Raquel pulls Dom into the ring as she pulls Rhea into the ring. Raquel with a power slam to Dom. Rhea returns to the knee and kicks Raquel in the leg. Rhea with RipTide for the three count.

Backstage:
John Cena is in the back and he says he is now a backstage correspondent. He is with Finn Balor and Damian Priest. John asks about dissension in The Judgment Day. Priest says they are family and brothers fight. When we work together there is no stopping them. Priest says he has the briefcase and they are tag champs as well as having the women's title and North American Title. Finn says it is time to party.

We see Keiji Mutoh in the crowd.

They try to gets the first advantage on a lock up but they do not do it. Seth with a waist lock and Nakamura with a wrist lock. Seth with a reversal into a hammer lock. Seth with a wrist lock and Nakamura with a reversal into a hammer lock. Rollins with a head scissors. They go for a Greco Roman Knuckle Lock and Rollins with a hammer lock into a side head lock. Seth with a take down and he goes for a chin lock into a side head lock. Nakamura backs Seth into the ropes and Nakamura rubs Seth's back in a slightly creepy way. Nakamura tells Seth to COME ON. Nakamura with a kick to the back and Nakamura misses a round kick. Nakamura with a waist lock. Seth with chops and kicks. Nakamura with an Irish whip and Seth floats over. Seth with a flying forearm. Seth with a suicide dive. Seth with a kick and he sets for a Pedigree but Nakamura counters with a back body drop. Nakamura with forearms to the lower back followed by kicks.

Nakamura with kicks in the corner. Nakamura puts Seth on the top turnbuckle and he goes for the knee but Seth gets to the apron. Seth drops Nakamura on the top rope. Seth with a knee drop and a suicide dive. Seth sends Nakamura into the announce table and he slaps Nakamura in the face. Seth goes to the ringside barrier but Nakamura gets up and press slams Seth onto the table and Seth bounces off the table to the floor. Nakamura sends Seth into the ringside barrier. Seth collapses and Nakamura picks him up but Seth with a slap. Seth with another chop. Nakamura iwht a kick and knees. Nakamura kicks Seth in the back.

Nakamura tries to suplex Seth into the ring and Seth lands on his feet. A serires of standing switches and Seth with a knee and Pedigree. Seth runs into a boot from Nakamura. Seth with a sunset flip but Nakamura drops down to block it. Seth with a Stomp. Seth gets the three count.
