WWE Hall of Famer Trish Stratus received a great ovation from the fans at the PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on Saturday night.

Stratus and her arch-nemesis Becky Lynch went on for a war at WWE Payback premium live event last night as they kicked off the show with a brutal Steel Cage match. This marked Stratus' first-ever cage match in her career.

The duo met the expectations of the fans and tore the house down with the match. The back-and-forth action kept the fans engaged as the match saw some great spots. In the final moments of the bout, Stratus' protege, Zoey Stark broke up the pin when 'The Man' covered the legend.

This angered Lynch and she closed the cage door to trap Stark as well. Lynch hit the Manhandle Slam on Stark. Stratus almost got out of the cage but Lynch pulled Stratus down to the top rope and hit a Manhandle Slam off the top rope to secure the win.

Following the match, Trish Stratus and Zoey Stark started arguing, during which the former slapped the latter. Stark went on to hit a Z-360 on Stratus and left the ring.

In a WWE-exclusive video clip, Trish Stratus got back on her feet and the crowd applauded the WWE Hall of Famer. The veteran star was seen struggling to walk on her way to backstage. Check out the video clip below:

After the show, Stark even took to Twitter and shared a GIF that said "BUH BYE," indicating that she is moving on from her former mentor Trish Stratus.

They were originally scheduled to face each other at SummerSlam. However, the match was nixed for undisclosed reasons. The duo competed in a singles match two weeks after SummerSlam. However, no winner was decided as the pair was double counted out.

We will now have to wait and see what's next Becky Lynch and Trish Stratus.
