Beginning next week, WWE Raw will compete with the NFL's Monday Night Football until the end of the year and they are breaking out their big acts to fend off the NFL ratings juggernaut.

WWE has officially announced that Rhea Ripley would face Raquel Rodriguez in a Payback rematch for the WWE Women's World Championship. In addition, they are promoting that Cody Rhodes would make his return to the company next week as well.

At Payback over the weekend, Ripley defeated Rodriguez after Dominik Mysterio got involved. This week on Raw, Rodriguez made her case for a rematch and was granted it. In the match next week, Dominik Mysterio will be banned from ringside.

Cody Rhodes joined The Grayson Waller Effect with Grayson Waller at WWE Payback and revealed that he had cashed in his political chips to bring Jey Uso to the Raw brand. Cody did not appear on this week's episode of the show.

Jey Uso was on the show and had numerous encounters with talent that he had previously wronged as a member of The Bloodline. Drew McIntyre and Matt Riddle both dismissed Jey, but he was embraced by former Bloodline member, Sami Zayn to open the show.

This week on Monday Night Raw, GUNTHER defeated Chad Gable to retain his championship and will become the longest-reigning WWE Intercontinental Champion in WWE history.
