AJ Styles seeks retribution in a one-on-one showdown against Jimmy Uso

On Friday Night SmackDown,Jimmy Uso interfered in Solo Sikoa’s showdown against AJ Styles and ultimately cost The Phenomenal One the matchup. Regardless of what Jimmy’s intentions may or may not have been in regards to The Bloodline, he now has to answer to Styles for his disruption.

We begin with a look back at highlights from Payback.


Charlotte Flair and Shotzi vs Bayley and Iyo Sky (w/ Dakota Kai)

Bayley and Flair start things off and Bayley pushes Flair. Flair pushes back and she knocks Iyo down with a forearm on the apron. Charlotte with chops to Bayley and Iyo attacks Flair. Shotzi gets involved with Iyo while Bayley and Flair go to the floor. Bayley is sent into the ringside barrier. Iyo sends Shotzi to the floor and hits an Asai Moonsault onto Flair and Shotzi.

We go to commercial.

We are back and Bayley tags in and they hit a double running kick on Shotzi for a near fall. Bayley with an elbow drop to the back. Bayley chokes Shotzi in the ropes. Shotzi backs into the corner and Bayley kicks her. Shotzi with punches but Bayley with a knee and foerarm to the back. Bayley with a rear chin lock. Shotzi reaches for a tag but Bayley stops her. Bayley with an Irish whip but Shotzi with an elbow to Bayley and then to Iyo. Shotzi with an enzuigiri but Bayley stops her. Shotzi with a series of kicks and Iyo and Bayley are unable to stop the tag. Flair with a cross body to Iyo and Bayley. Charlotte with chops to both. Flair with a fallaway slam to Bayley. Flair with a handspring clothesline but Bayley with an inside cradle for a near fall. Charlotte sets for the figure four and applies it. Iyo with Meteora to Charlotte before she can bridge.

Iyo tags in and Bayley puts Charlotte on the turnbuckles. Bayley tags in. Iyo with a Frankensteiner and Bayley goes up top but Asuka shows up behind Dakota ad she takes the title belt. Charlotte with a boot to Bayley to knock her off the turnbuckles. Flair kicks Iyo off the apron and Shotzi with a fisherman's DDT for the three count.

Winners: Charlotte Flair and Shotzi

After the match:
Asuka is in the ring and Iyo confronts her. Asuka drops the title belt and Iyo and Asuka have words for each other. Asuka backs up and dances her way out of the ring.


We take a look at the recent issues between Jimmy Uso and AJ Styles.

Paul Heyman is on the phone and Jimmy Uso shows up. He says that last week John Cena said the wrong Uso quit and then Solo said that he leaves the Bloodline only when they say. Jimmy says he is still in the Bloodline and he wants to know the strategy.

Paul says Roman and Solo are not here. Paul says that Jimmy might be in but he isn't IN until Roman says so. Paul tells Jimmy to handle AJ tonight and Paul says he will make sure that the family gets back together.

Paul walks away and he is not in a good mood.

Paul sees AJ Styles talking to a production associate and AJ turns around.

Paul says he was talking about AJ. He asks AJ if he has enough problems in his life before you want to tangle with him.

AJ asks Paul who does he think he is. AJ says Paul has no clout around here.

Jimmy attacks AJ and sends him into a production case.

Jimmy says that he handled the AJ situation.

Paul calls Roman as we go to commercial.

We are back and the announcers wonder what the attack means for the main event.

Bayley, Iyo, and Dakota are ambushed by Kayla and Bayley says that Asuka needs to be careful or she will be put on the shelf like Bianca. Iyo says she is ready for Asuka and that is a challenge.

LA Knight makes his way to the ring and he wants to talk to ya.

He says he doesn't know if people saw Miz' performance on Raw, but it is time to take a look at it. Knight says if he was a complete moron, we would take a look at that adjective but he isn't a moron so it is a verb. He did not come here to play. Knight says he wants to go to the top. One week, you want to play dress up. The next week, you play make believe with a fake John Cena. You whine about how LA Knight won because of John Cena.

Knight says he didn't ask for John Cena and he didn't need John Cena. He says he doesn't need Cena's endorsement. He says he respects John and John did make the three count. You will swallow that bitter pill. If you want to get skunked out again, consider your challenge . . .

interrupted by Grayson Waller's music.

Waller comes out to the stage and he asks if that is a good idea after the Miz ran through John Cena on Raw? It was like Cena wasn't even there. Waller says him and his associate Austin Theory were talking and . . .

Austin Theory comes out to join Waller.

Waller says Austin had one of the biggest victories in Smackdown history over Rey and his stepson Santos. They are the only undefeated tag team on the roster. That makes them the greatest tag team of all time.

Knight says they have to be proud of themselves. They are fan favorites. Knight says he doesn't know why they are telling him. He says you can tell your mommy and then you can tell her that he says hi.

Theory wants to know who was the referee who helped LA Knight win? John Cena, the man that he beat. Theory points out that he has already beaten Knight. Austin points out that he is a two time US Champion at 26. LA, you have been here. Soak in that 15 minutes of fame because Miz won't want anything to do with you when he is done with Knight.

Knight tells them he will show them how to do it. On the right, he has a mush mouth moron. On the left, he has an idiot. If you want to do it in the ring, go ahead. You can get your keister kicked tonight.


LA Knight vs Austin Theory

Theory with a side head lock and shoulder tackle. They lock up and Theory with a side head lock and shoulder tackle. Knight with an uppercut and Knight with a swinging neck breaker. Theory avoids a slam attempt and Theory send Knight into the turnbuckles and he chokes Knight in the corner. Theory with a suplex for a near fall. They block suplex attempts and Knight brings Theory back into the ring. Knight goes to the floor and he send Theory into the announce table a few times. Knight returns to the ring and then goes to the floor. Knight sends Theory back into the ring and Knight with an Irish whip but Theory sends Knight onto the top rope when he send Knight to the apron. Theory with a hanging neck breaker off the apron.

We go to commercial.

We are back and Knight with punches and he misses an enzuigiri but Theory misses an elbow drop. Knight with clotheslines and a side Russian leg sweep. Knight with a DDT and kicks in the corner. Knight with a running hip to the head. Theory gets off Knight's shoulders and Theory with a punch and blockbuster for a near fall. Knight sends Theory over the top rope to the floor and Knight goes for a suplex on the floor but Theory blocks it and Theory with a suplex.

Waller gets up from the announce table and removes the top turnbuckle pad while the referee focuses on Knight and Theory.

They return to the ring and Knight sees what Waller did. Knight lands on his feet on a belly-to-back suplex attempt. Knight with a power slam and then he sets for the YEAHple's elbow. Waller gets on the apron again and distracts Knight. Theory with a rollup. The referee tries to fix the turnbuckle when Theory almost hits it. Knight with BFT for the three count.

Winner: LA Knight

After the match:
Waller tries to attack Knight from behind but Knight sees him. Waller leaves the ring.


AJ is in the back with Cathy Kelley. She asks him about his condition for his match against Jimmy.

AJ says he is standing and if he is standing, he can fight. Jimmy can attack him from behind as many times as he wants but he will still rip his head off.

Paul Heyman is in the office with Adam Pearce and Paul wants Adam to take care of AJ for touching him. He wants to know is being traded.

LA Knight enters and he wants a piece of Miz so he wants the match next week.

Adam leaves and Paul says they have never been introduced and he does it and says he is a fan and he YEAHs. He says he wants to help out LA. He says the next time that the man outside the door says that Paul is in the room doing business, knock first. He asks Knight if he is clear and Knight says YEAH.

THE male contingent of THE Judgment Day are in the ring and Priest wants everyone to rise for them. Finn asks who is better than them and they say nobody. He says to say hello to Senor Money in the Bank and Grand Slam Finn, your tag team champions. He mentions that Dom is still celebrating his anniversary as a member of THE Judgment Day and his reign as North American champion.

Dom starts to talk and we barely hear him talking about Rhea in India and how she is the most dominant Women's Champion.

Priest says they are proud of Rhea. He says they are proud that they could do something that the Bloodline could do. They did something Roman Reigns couldn't do. They beat Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens and took their titles.

Dom starts to talk and he is booed by the Boston crowd. He says they are equals and the most dominant.

Butch and Ridge Holland come out and Butch says it is fight night.

Ridge asks Butch if Dom said THE Judgment Day is the most dominant team in WWE? Ridge says they are looking for a Banger in Beantown. Ridge says he has a habit of breaking people like you. Ridge says it is not him you need to worry about, it is this fella.

Finn laughs and asks Damian if he heard that. Finn asks if they want him to worry about Butch. Finn says he doesn't worry about Butch but Butch grabs Finn's hand. Ridge clotheslines Priest over the top rope and then Finn goes to the floor with Dom.


Non Title Match
Damian Priest and Finn Balor (w/ Dominik Mysterio) vs Ridge Holland and Butch


The match is joined in progress and Priest sends Butch to the mat with a forearm. Finn tags in and Butch with an arm bar. Butch puts the hand on the mat and Butch stomps on the hand. Ridge tags in and Ridge with a front face lock and he spins Finn around. Ridge with a delayed butterfly suplex. Ridge gets Finn up but Finn escapes and Priest tags in and kicks Ridge and hits a shoulder tackle but Ridge comes off the ropes and hits a shoulder tackle. Priest with a shoulder tackle. Ridge tries to get Priest on his shoulders but Priest blocks it. Priest with a front face lock and Ridge goes for a suplex. Ridge gets Finn and Priest up for a double back drop. Dom distracts Ridge on the apron and Priest with a clothesline and punches. Finn tags in and we see Pretty Deadly watching in BACK on MONITOR.

Finn gets a near fall on Ridge. Finn with a reverse chin lock into a front face lock. Ridge tries to power his way to the corner but Finn stops Ridge and connects with a knee to the midsection. Ridge tosses Finn away and tags in Butch. Butch with a kick to knock Priest off the apron. Butch with enzuigiris in the corner. Butch with a Shining Wizard to Finn and he goes to the turnbuckles for a monsault onto Priest and Finn.

We go to commercial.

We are back and Butch with a superplex to Finn. Butch sets for Bitter End but Finn escapes and hits an elevated elbow drop. Priest and Ridge tag in while we see Pretty Deadly WATCHING in BACK on MONITOR again. Ridge blocks forearms and hits an arm trapped overhead belly-to-belly suplex. Butch tags in and after a double team move, Butch gets a near fall. Priest with a cyclone kick to Butch for a near fall. Priest with an uppercut and he knocks Ridge off the apron. Priest with a side head lock driver for a near fall. Butch stomps on Priest's hand and hits a drop kick. Balor tags in and Butch with a German suplex. Dom gets on the apron again and Butch grabs Dom and hits forearms until Finn gets a near fall with a rollup. Finn with sling blade and he hits the drop kick. Finn goes up top and misses Coup de Grace and Butch with a rollup for a near fall.

Butch with an enzuigiri but Finn with a Pele kick. Priest tags in and goes for South of Heaven and Butch counters with an enzuigiri. Ridge with a kick to priest and Finn knocks Butch off the turnbuckles. Priest with South of Heaven to Ridge and then he hits South of Heaven to Butch onto Ridge. Finn with Coup de Grace for the three count.

Winners: Finn Balor and Damian Priest

After the match:
Bobby Lashley's music plays and he comes out to the stage with Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins. They make their way to the ring.

Bobby says The Bloodline is crumbling but THE Judgment Day is not taking over. It is going to be them.

Mia, Karl, and Luke are in the back and AJ shows up. AJ asks if they know what is going on. AJ says you are on top of everything, so you saw Jimmy attack him from behind. Karl and Luke apologize. AJ knocks the phone away.

Karl says he told AJ not to get involved. AJ says they always had each other's back. AJ says if this is the way it is going to be, he does not want them anywhere near his match.

We are back with a look at photos and video from today's show in India.

Next week, John Cena will be on the Grayson Waller Effect. Miz faces LA Knight. Iyo Sky faces Asuka for the Women's Title in two weeks.

Asuka is in the back earlier tonight and she speaks in Japanese and then she says that they forgot that she was the champion and she gets a rematch. She says that Iyo has her title, but in two weeks, she is taking it back. She says no one is ready for Asuka.


Jimmy Uso vs AJ Styles

Jimmy misses a super kick and AJ punches Jimmy caught in the ropes. AJ kicks Jimmy in the back of the leg and Jimmy lands hard on the mat before going ot the floor. AJ chases Jimmy to the floor and Jimmy with an inside cradle for a near fall. Jimmy with a rollup but he uses the ropes and the referee does not make the count. AJ with punches and chops. AJ with a suplex. AJ kicks Jimmy and hits a back breaker. Jimmy with a chop and AJ with a punch. AJ with a forearm to Jimmy. The referee checks on Jimmy and tells AJ to stand back for a moment. AJ with a punch and he sets for a Styles Clash but Jimmy escapes and goes to the floor to regroup. Jimmy gets back in the ring before the ten count. They lock up and AJ with a forearm but Jimmy with a back elbow. Jimmy with a head butt and he gets a near fall. Jimmy goes to the floor again. AJ with a baseball slide to Jimmy and then he goes to the apron and tries for a sliding knee but Jimmy with a super kick.

Paul Heyman and Solo Sikoa make their way to the stage to watch.

Jimmy thinks they are a unit and he sends AJ's head into the ring steps.

We are back and AJ with punches and chops. Jimmy with a back body drop. Paul and Solo have made their way to the ringside area.

Jimmy with punches. Jimmy with a running hip strike in the corner for a near fall. Jimmy with a head lock and AJ with elbows but Jimmy pulls AJ to the mat. Jimmy rubs his forearm across the bridge of the nose. Jimmy with a reverse chin lock. AJ with a belly-to-back suplex and both men are down. Jimmy says something to AJ and AJ responds. They exchange slaps and Jimmy with a dragon whip but AJ with a Pele Kick. AJ clotheslines Jimmy over the top rope to the floor and AJ with a slingshot forearm and he gets up in front of Solo. AJ sends Jimmy back into the ring and AJ looks at Solo before setting for the Phenomenal Forearm but Jimmy moves and AJ rolls through. AJ with an Ushigoroshi for a near fall. AJ with a clothesline into the corner and Jimmy with a thrust kick and uppercut for a near fall. Jimmy gets AJ up on his shoulders but AJ gets back to his feet and AJ with a series of strikes but Jimmy blocks a back first. Jimmy with a head butt. AJ with a DDT for a near fall.

AJ goes to the apron for the Phenomenal Forearm but he looks to Solo and Paul on the floor so AJ goes to a different side of the ring. Jimmy with a super kick and Jimmy looks at Solo and Paul. Jimmy chokes AJ in the ropes but Solo does not move when Jimmy tries to distract the referee. AJ falls to the floor and Solo walks past AJ and Jimmy goes to the floor. SOlo turns his back and AJ hits Jimmy and Solo. AJ starts to move towards Paul and AJ sends Jimmy into the ring post. AJ sets for the Phenomenal Forearm and AJ hits it for the three count.

Winner: AJ Styles

After the match:
AJ gets out of the ring when Solo enters.

Damian Priest attacks AJ in the aisle and then Priest and Balor send AJ back into the ring.
