Major League Wrestling, Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre, and New Japan Pro Wrestling will be working together as part of a "landmark" alliance.

In a statement, it was announced that the three promotions will work together for a "variety of crossover collaborations" which will begin this October. MLW CEO & founder Court Bauer shared his excitement over the alliance.

“It’s a privilege and honor to forge an alliance with CMLL and work with Mr. Salvador Lutteroth Lomeli and his team while expanding MLW’s relationship with New Japan to create an extraordinary collaboration.

"I wish to thank Mr. Salvador Lutteroth Lomeli, Mr. Naoki Sugabayashi, Mr. Takami Ohbari and Rocky Romero for building the foundation for this opportunity. We look forward to showcasing the extraordinary athletes from Mexico, Japan, and America for fans worldwide.”

Fightful Select reports that discussions about an alliance between the three companies started in early July. MLW has adjusted its roster to align itself with CMLL, which means they will not be using AAA talent. AAA's Sam Adonis recently finished up his time with MLW.

Sources who spoke to Fightful said there will be a steady flow of talent between the three groups with MLW looking to get a big refresh of lucha talent in 2024. New Japan Pro Wrestling's crossover will get bigger as they get into the new year. Salina De La Renta, who recently returned to Major League Wrestling, will be a central figure in storylines moving forward that involve MLW and CMLL
