Will Ospreay could be mere weeks away from becoming IMPACT World Champion should things line up in the Brit's favor.

Later this month, Ospreay will compete at IMPACT's Bound for Glory event on October 21, which will take place at the Cicero Stadium in Cicero, Illinois. Ospreay will face Mike Bailey at the event, a match confirmed during week 2 of IMPACT 1000.

Bound for Glory will also see Josh Alexander receive his long-awaited opportunity to regain the IMPACT World Championship. Alexander was forced to vacate the gold in April due to an injury and will challenge Alex Shelley at Bound for Glory.

On Twitter, IMPACT Wrestling confirmed that during the Bound for Glory fallout taping, Ospreay will face Alexander in a meeting of one of NJPW's biggest stars against one of IMPACT's top names. It was also stated that should Alexander regain the IMPACT World title he was never beaten for at Bound for Glory, this would be a title match.

Ospreay's work with IMPACT Wrestling won't remain confined to the United States. Days after Bound for Glory, the Aerial Assassin will return to his native UK for IMPACT's first tour of the nation in close to eight years. Ospreay will compete at the Turning Point event in Newcastle, England, on October 27, though no opponent has been announced for the Aerial Assassin.
