WWE intends to send a message to AEW with tonight's stacked episode of WWE NXT but Tony Khan has a message of his own.
Tonight's NXT will go head-to-head with AEW Dynamite, which has been moved from its usual Wednesday spot due to Major League Baseball. John Cena, Cody Rhodes, Asuka, and Paul Heyman are being promoted for tonight's NXT while The Undertaker has been teased. Tonight's AEW Dynamite will feature multiple title matches as well as the in-ring debut of Adam Copeland.
A fired-up source who spoke to Haus of Wrestling said tonight will be “a very clear example of how and why WWE is WWE, and why AEW has a long way to go.” The source also stated that AEW has been lulled into "a false sense of reality" that they are an industry leader, simply because AEW Dynamite bested WWE NXT in the Wednesday Night War.
Responding to the Haus of Wrestling report on Twitter, Tony Khan took a page out of DX's playbook and had two words for those in charge at NXT.
This isn't Khan's only notable tweet in relation to tonight's showdown between WWE NXT & AEW Dynamite. After a fan made it clear they wouldn't be watching tonight's Dynamite, the AEW President responded with a gif stating "WHO GIVES A F***?" When a fan argued that AEW fans would be outraged if Vince McMahon behaved this way, Khan said it'd hardly be the worst thing McMahon has allegedly done.
