AEW's newest pay-per-view which is being discussed for December has locked in a date.

When AEW first started out in 2019, it held four yearly events to distinguish itself from WWE's monthly Premium Live Events. AEW initially held Revolution, Double or Nothing, All Out, and Full Gear, which have been the 'Big Four' pay-per-views of the promotion. AEW debuted a new show last year, Forbidden Door, which is a crossover event with New Japan Pro Wrestling (NJPW).

A couple of brand-new yearly events have also debuted this year which are AEW All In: London, which has already been confirmed to return in 2024 and most recently WrestleDream.

AEW usually holds 'Winter is Coming' as a special edition of Dynamite in the month of December. But now they are seemingly planning a new pay-per-view for the last month of the year. We previously reported that a brand-new pay-per-view for December was being discussed. PWInsider reported the potential date for the pay-per-view. It stated:

"Sources at InDemand have confirmed AEW has locked in Saturday 12/30 for a new potential PPV date.”

The location of the event has been rumored to be New York City. There were rumors going throughout the AEW roster that the new December pay-per-view might debut on the final weekend of the year.

While this year's New Year's Eve falls on a Sunday, there is a possibility that the show will take place either on Friday, December 29, or on Saturday, December 30. However, the venue isn't confirmed yet.

AEW's upcoming pay-per-view is set to be Full Gear which takes place on Saturday, November 18 from the KIA Forum in Los Angeles. In the headlining clash, MJF will defend his AEW World Title against Jay White.
