AEW President Tony Khan recently shared the details of the negotiations with Adam Copeland (formerly Edge in WWE) ahead of signing with AEW.

Copeland arrived to AEW at WrestleDream pay-per-view. The former Edge worked with WWE for decades where he became one of the top stars. He was also inducted into the prestigious WWE Hall of Fame.

Fans had been speculating that the Rated R Superstar would jump ship to AEW after his contract with WWE expired. Adam Copeland made his surprise debut during two out of three falls match between Christian Cage and Darby Allin.

Speaking on Maggie & Perloff, Tony Khan shed light on the negotiations with Adam Copeland and revealed when the former WWE superstar decided to reach out. He said:

"Not long after AEW Grand Slam, we had Adam Copeland reach out, he was out of contract. He is one of the most popular and one of the most successful wrestlers of all time. To have Adam Copeland in AEW is a huge deal for us."

Following his debut at WrestleDream, Copeland made appearances on both Dynamite and Collision. He made his in-ring debut in AEW against Luchasaurus on last night's special edition of AEW Dynamite, dubbed as 'Title Tuesday.'

In the final moments of the match, Nick Wayne distracted the referee. Adam used the TNT title against Luchasaurus. While Luchasaurus thought Cage hit him with the belt, Adam Copeland hit him with a spear to get the win.

Following the match, chaos ensued as Wayne and Luchasaurus attacked Adam. Danielson then ran down to the rescue of Adam but Luchasaurus attacked him too. BCC’s Claudio Castagnoli and Wheeler Yuta made the save but Gates of Agony and Swerve Strickland, followed by Hangman Adam Page arrived. Bryan caught Cage in LeBell Lock while Copeland speared Wayne to end the show.
