Serena Deep has reportedly been spotted backstage at AEW Collision.

The seasoned AEW star has made a sudden and unexpected return to the promotion, after nearly a year of rumors about backstage issues. Deeb was present backstage during the latest episode of Collision.

Fightful Select reported that Serena Deeb was spotted backstage at AEW Collision, and her presence wasn't merely a casual visit. This was the first time in a year that Deeb had been seen, even behind the scenes, within the promotion.

Insiders the outlet spoke to claim that they haven't caught sight of Serena backstage at all this year. The specific location is also not a place where Deeb would just be visiting.

The speculation behind her prolonged absence has revolved around a substantial backstage disagreement between Deeb and AEW management. However, she has mentioned suffering an injury as the reason behind her absence from the company.

Serena Deeb had recently attended the Cauliflower Alley Club in one of her first public appearances after the absence.

Further reports indicated that a heated disagreement with AEW management in the past year led to her removal from television. Deeb had been vocal about her TV time and match durations, accusing Tony Khan and AEW of unannounced time cuts. AEW's perspective is that times are typically shared after plans are finalized, preventing last-minute disappointments. The conflicting narratives have resulted in 'heat' surrounding Deeb within the company.

Serena Deeb's most recent in-ring appearance was on an episode of Dark: Elevation against Haley J in October of the previous year. Besides wrestling, Deeb had also worked as a producer and coach backstage in AEW. It remains to be seen if this recent reappearance backstage will lead to her making an in-ring return at AEW.
