Leon Slater will be a fixture of IMPACT Wrestling (soon to be TNA Wrestling) for the foreseeable future after signing a contract with the promotion.

Currently, IMPACT is embarking on its first tour of the United Kingdom since 2016. The tour began on Thursday with an event in Glasgow, Scotland, which will be aired on TV next week. Last night's Turning Point event in Newcastle, England will be made available to watch on IMPACT Plus next week.

At Saturday's sold-out event in Coventry, England, TNA/IMPACT Wrestling President Scott D’Amore signed Slater to what is being described as a TNA contract, signifying the impending name change to TNA Wrestling.

Slater has been a regular on IMPACT's current tour of the UK, having appeared at both the Glasgow show and Turning Point, in addition to tonight's show in Coventry.

Slater is the current NORTH Wrestling champion and put the title on the line at Turning Point. In addition to this title, Slater is one-half of the 1PW Tag Team Champions, having won the titles with Man Like DeReiss in April in a triple-threat ladder match involving IMPACT's SUBCULTURE and ABC.

Despite being 19 years old and a relative newcomer to wrestling (he is yet to reach 100 matches in his entire career) Slater is quickly making a name for himself, both in his native United Kingdom and abroad.

The young star has already worked for PROGRESS, RevPro Wrestling, and has over a dozen matches to his name for Game Changer Wrestling, including an unsuccessful World Championship challenge last year.
