Laurel Middle School has honored the legacy of the late Jay Briscoe by renaming its locker room in memory of him.

Briscoe, real name Jamin Pugh, was killed in a vehicular collision earlier this year, mere minutes from his home in Laurel, Delaware. His daughters (who were in the car at the time of the crash) were also seriously injured. Delaware State Police confirmed that another driver crossed the center line and collided with Jay's vehicle head-on and that they too were killed in the accident.

On Facebook, the Laurel School District revealed that Laurel Middle School has renamed its locker room the "Jamin Pugh Locker Room" in memory of the wrestler. The account also thanked the Pugh family for their dedication to the school district.

Lauren Middle School is hardly alone in paying tribute to Jamin Pugh, who touched many lives both as Jay Briscoe and as himself. Reflecting on his brother's passing, Mark Briscoe said earlier that year that Jay isn't truly gone. While Jay never competed for WWE, tributes to him were made on WWE NXT and SmackDown after his passing. WWE NXT Superstar Dijak auctioned off a ring jacket to benefit the Pugh family, while Ring of Honor hosted a 'Celebration of Life' show in memory of Briscoe. AEW would also pay tribute to Briscoe on their programming.
